Surprised no one brought this up. Don't know who or what will be involved exactly but anything that can bring in some of the more old school guys is a good thing in my mind.

Haven't they been talking about that for years?

Exciting news even if I'm really stumped as to how "big" this set is going to be. It could literally be anywhere from a nice little supplemental set to being the most important set since the Original 24. Or anywhere in between.
I would be thrilled with a set of, say, random '50s guys, but the community at large is going to need a Thesz-level name.

This is something that should have happened a long time ago. All speculation at this point on how many cards and if there will be any big names on the way. Perhaps it will tie in more closely with their 50th anniversary and some people being awarded that weekend will be in the set.

DDP is your first name.

Ill be the first to say I'm not a huge guy on "re-treads", and some may be bummed that DDP is the first name, but I look at this as the most unique opportunity in Legends history. If they were all previous cards, I would be ok if it helps to lead to a partnership with the CAC in the future.
Like Pete said, it could be the most important set. DDP is your first name, Steve Austin attends each year and is good friends with DDP...ya know. This could be opening the doors.

Being a friend, tag partner, relative definitely does not automatically include a signing (See Barbarian, Steve Armstrong, Raymond Rougeau, etc.)
I don't mind DDP but I would definitely be disappointed if it's more rehash than newcomers.

Well it's been all new since DDP, with Hosaka, Hutchinson and Bill White.

It certainly isn't a guarantee but it never hurts. From a sales perspective, every new signing is like another referral that increases your odds of closing the big fish.

We can only hope. The set has turned out fairly interesting since Page is the only rehash so far.
