ECW Hardcore TV #1; Philadelphia, PA [ECW Arena]
The show opens with a clip of Chris Dickinson hitting Rhett Titus with an avalanche Burning Hammer through a table as Joey Styles welcomes everyone to the first episode of ECW Hardcore TV.
(note: eventually I'll get over it and do an actual video intro but that takes time and patience, neither of which I have enough of right now)
After the opening video, Joey Styles is shown atop the ECW Arena in the broadcast position. JS: "Welcome fans to the very first episode of ECW Hardcore TV. I'm Joey Styles and I'll be your host for this program as we re-educate the fans on what the sport of professional wrestling is all about. For too long have fans had to endure petty soap opera cartoon wrestling, we're here to bring pro wrestling back to basics. We're going to have winners and losers, our championships are going to matter and starting tonight we have two tournaments that are ongoing---one for the ECW World Television Championship, the other for the ECW World Tag Team Championship. In this hour, you'll see highlights of two opening round matches in the ECW World Tag Team Championship tournament, as well as highlights of one of the ECW World Television Championship League matches before we take you to our main event which will be shown in its entirety as Chris Dickinson, who you just saw in the opening of the show, takes on Jon Moxley."
[HIGHLIGHTS] In an ECW World Tag Team Championship tournament opening round match, Kevin Steen and Matt Tremont beat BLK OUT of Ruckus and BLK Jeez when Kevin Steen used a Package Piledriver on Jeez.
Jon Moxley is outside of the ECW Arena when Steven Prazak manages to catch up to him. SP: "Jon, tonight you take on Chris Dickinson in the first match of a round robin tournament but you're outside the building. Is this part of your preparation?" JM: "Preparation? Come on, Steven. Preparation is for people who have a desire to fall by the wayside, you see I'm not the kind of guy who just sits back and thinks about what he's gonna do next. That's boring, y'know? I'm gonna go out there tonight, in front of the most rabid fans in the world and I'm gonna kick Chris Dickinson's ass. Just the first ass I'm gonna kick on my road to the Television Championship though because then there's Biff and Cedric. Boys, this is my time. I'm the man that runs this house and you're gonna find that out tonight, Dickinson."
[HIGHLIGHTS] In the first match of the ECW Television Championship league, Cedric Alexander beat Biff Busick with the Kick 2 Kill Part II. The updated standings for the league are:

We return to Joey Styles, who is in the broadcast position in the ECW Arena. JS: "With that win, Cedric Alexander comes just one step closer to being crowned the first ECW World Television Champion. Later on tonight, Chris Dickinson takes on Jon Moxley, but quickly we're gonna key up some highlights of another ECW World Tag Team Championship tournament match. As you can see, Danny Havoc and Devon Moore, known in some circles as the Nation of Intoxication but decided to go with the name PEN1---I'm not sure why exactly, took on War Machine in a match that was shrouded in controversy as you can see Devon Moore throwing some sort of powder and I'm not going to speculate what it was, in the face of Havoc which briefly lead to a comeback on the part of Havoc until Hanson and Rowe put him through a table with a double team powerbomb before Hanson flattened Moore with a brutal spin kick."
[HIGHLIGHTS] In an ECW World Tag Team Championship tournament opening round match, War Machine of Hanson and Raymond Rowe beat PEN1 [Public Enemy Number 1] of Danny Havoc and Devon Moore when Hanson used the Spin Kick of Doom on Moore.
JS: "With that win, War Machine advance to round two, where they'll take on the winners of a match we'll bring to you next week as The Wolves of Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards take on The Outlaws of MASADA and Brodie Lee. Now it's my understanding that we've got comments from Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn, who next week on the program will take on Ohio Is 4 Killers in the final opening round match of the ECW World Tag Team Championship tournament so let's go to those comments right now."
Clips are shown from a recent independent wrestling show in California where ECW Fan Cam was able to catch up with RVD and Jerry Lynn to get their thoughts on their opening round match in the ECW Tag Team Championship tournament. RVD: "Hey, this is kinda weird isn't it, Jerry? I mean usually we'd be cutting promos on each other but we're here to put each other over. It's a nice change of pace, wouldn't you agree?" JL: "Yeah, and not having to be on the receiving end of 95% of your offense is a nice change of pace too." RVD: "Great point. Also, get a look at this. I'm winning another tag title with someone I don't even like, thus proving that RVD is the most versatile pro wrestler ever. Listen, I know what all these young indie guys are saying right now. 'Oh waah, they're taking spots from the guys I work with in front of 60 people every weekend'. What you guys need to realize is, we're legends. We're veterans of this sport. When I beat Bam Bam Bigelow for the TV Title, most of you guys probably weren't even born yet. Do you know who Bam Bam Bigelow is? He was a scary guy." JL: "You guys are counting us out and why, because we're 'old'? Hey, we can still hang with you guys. We're two of the best this sport has ever seen." RVD: "Exactly, Jerry. These guys are walking around all, 'oh, I was ROH World Champion!' Do you think we give a shit about your ROH World Championship?" JL: "You know, Rob, I actually, uh...won that title." RVD: "Really? Wow, didn't think you'd stoop low enough to wrestle for that company. Did they at least let you win that one clean?" JL: "They did! I guess New Jack was locked up that weekend or something." RVD: "Nice, glad you got one." JL: "God knows they wouldn't let me get one over you!" RVD: "Well you can't win 'em all, right? Hey, speaking of New Jack, thank god that guy's not gonna be at the ECW Arena, right?" JL: "Hey, I wouldn't go that far---he helped me win a World Championship!" RVD: "Touche, his help could come in handy if you had a lesser tag partner. Anyways, back to more pressing matters. If I was these young guys with no respect for the legends, I'd realize that sharing a ring with us is probably as big as your career's ever gonna get. You should thank us for this opportunity. Do you know how many guys sit at home and write their little dork fan fictions about Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler and wish they could share a ring with us? They'd probably sell their moms to get this opportunity." JL: "I...think what Rob's trying to say is that you're all counting us out but we're world traveled, time proven wrestlers. If you think this is going to be a walk in the park, beating us, you're mistaken." RVD: "Exactly. I'd love to continue this chat but hey it's 4:20 somewhere. I'm out, man. See you guys in Philly."
JS: "Interesting comments from those two and after that last comment from RVD we'll see if we're even on the air to bring you that match next week! Also, next week on the program will be the ECW debut of one of the all time greats as Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle will address the ECW Arena crowd and the second week of the ECW Television Championship series will be presented to you and when we come back, in its entirety we will show you Chris Dickinson vs. Jon Moxley but first, some comments from several of the stars of ECW."
(play the song)
Eddie Kingston: "So here we are, south Philadelphia. For years, this is where it's all began. Wrestling has been pioneered, has been innovated in the hallowed halls of this building. All time greats have come through, friends of mine have come through and they changed professional wrestling. They changed this sport, this business and where am I? I'm standing outside this toilet, they won't even let me in tonight. But you know what? That's okay by me. They want to keep me out? Fine. I'll knock the door down because I'm not gonna let another revolution pass through this building without leaving my mark, my impression on it. Ladies and gentlemen, I am Eddie Kingston and you will never forget my name."
Matt Tremont: "One team down, two more to go! OI4K! RVD and Lynn! It doesn't matter to us, we came to Philadelphia, to the most infamous building on professional wrestling, to do one thing: bust heads and take the ECW World Tag Team Championship." Kevin Steen: "He's right, I took time away from what I was doing and making a lot of money, to come here and do what my t-shirt says and fight. I don't need to carry someone else on my back, Matt and I, we're practically the same and when you hand the two of us chairs, it means the end for whoever we face so who's next? OI4K or the two ECW legends, it doesn't matter because we're ready." MT: "No matter who steps into our asylum, we're gonna make sure we come out on top. Hear us, fear us, believe us."
Nick Mondo: "It's been a long time since I saw this building and it brings back a lot of good memories but make no mistake about it, I'm here to right a lot of wrongs. I saw what this sport has become and I know I played a big part in why it went down that path. I'm here to redeem myself, my legacy. I'm here to prove that I'm more than just light tubes and weed whackers, I came here to get a different kind of respect and I hope whoever steps into the ring with me understands that this is a totally different Nick Mondo."
Davey Richards: "ECW, eh? Well that's a new step for me and Eddie but we're going to take this challenge head on. MASADA, Brodie Lee. You're two of the baddest dudes in pro wrestling, but we're THE two baddest dudes in pro wrestling." Eddie Edwards: "He's right, this is it. We've proven that we don't mind tables and ladders, or chairs. We've proven that we're the best pure wrestling team in the world today, but we haven't proven that we can get hardcore and hang with the best of them. So to everyone in this tournament, I've got just one thing to say: the hunt's on."
Cedric Alexander: "You just saw it, right in front of your eyes I picked up the all important first win in this league. From here all I've gotta do is beat Chris Dickinson and Jon Moxley and then I go down in history as the first ever ECW Television Champion. Not to sound cocky, but it couldn't be an easier path to walk. You're two of the best wrestlers in the world today, but to me this is overtime, the lights are on bright and I'm gonna shine just like my ECW TV title."
[MAIN EVENT] In the second match of the ECW Television Championship league, Chris Dickinson beat Jon Moxley with the Pazuzu Bomb. The updated standings for the league are:
