I will be returning to my card and dice LOW feds, the USWA and ICW. I am halfway through the third game year since the first LOW edition came out. When I began my LOW fed with the first set, I dated my cards in the year 2116, the then current year of the GWF. Now I am midway through 2118, this way I'm never behind the actual date and year. The first year I ran one fed, then broke into two promotions to continue using all the cards, those being the USWA and ICW.
Both companies are under the NWA banner, and the world champions defend in both territories. I'll give a rundown of events so far in the current year to get people caught up, as all of my past results are on the old message board.
The NWA board of directors announced that 2118 will open with a 32-man tournament to determine the first ever World Television champion. The ICW and the USWA each held their own 16-man tournament over the course of a month or so on regular television. Don Leo Jonathan defeated Buddy Rose at ICW Saturday Night's Main Event, Feb. 26, 2118 to become the first world TV champion.
A new major event took place in January -- The Royal Rumble. The Sheik eliminated Greg Valentine to win the 30-man Royal Rumble.
The year began with Bobby Heenan building a stable in both ICW and the USWA. He was soon opposed by teams managed by Captain Lou Albano.
At Wrestlemania II, Jimmy Snuka won the world heavyweight title from Nick Bockwinkel. This is where the split between Bockwinkel and Race took place, as well as Bruiser Brody turning on the Superfly.
Snuka and Brody engaged in a brutal feud that resulted in a Hell in a Cell match at UWF Pain & Punishment. This was not a sanctioned match and Snuka was stripped of the world title for participating.
The NWA title was then put on the line at the Cauliflower Cup Tournament. Mil Mascaras defeated Harley Race to win his third world championship.

Here are the USWA results for the current game month.
The USWA is set for its first edition of Glory following the Cauliflower Cup where Mil Mascaras won the 16-man tournamnet to become the new world heavyweight champion.
Bob and Brad Armstrong will face the team of S.D. Jones and Virgil making their debut. George Hackenschmidt arrives in the USWA and will wrestle George South. Yumi Fukawa and April Hunter will do battle in an important rankings match in the womens division.
Yukon Eric will have his first match in the USWA against Larry "the Axe" Hennig. Former World TV champion Danny Hodge signed to fight Stan Lane as he is back in the USWA but without his tag team partners or manager.
Frank Gotch continues his 10 Match Trial Series against Harley Race, the man who went to the finals of the Cauliflower Cup Tournament. Brutus Beefcake went out and got some big-time help in his fight against Lou Albano's Army and will team with the Road Warriors against the Valiant Brothers and their new partner Don Muraco.
Fan favorite Bobo Brazil is back in the USWA and he is signed for a Lumberjack Match against the Iron Sheik. The main event has U.S. champion Ed "Strangler" Lewis defending the title against Curt Hennig.
USWA Glory #75 Philadelphia, PA June 5, 2118
The Armstrongs def. S.D. Jones/Virgil
The return to the ring of S.D. and Virgil was short-lived and not very good. Bob Armstrong quickly took over against S.D. and Brad Armstrong finished him with the Russian Leg Sweep as Virgil never got in the ring.
George Hackenschmidt def. George South
The big Russian returned to the USWA and easily worked over George South before winning with the Bear Hug.
April Hunter def. Yumi Fukawa by D.Q.
This was a rematch from two weeks ago in Buffalo where April Hunter beat Fukawa and likely cost her a title match. This time Fukawa was disqualified after hitting April off the top and continuing to attack while she was tied up in the ropes.
Yukon Eric def. Larry Hennig
The big Alaskan also returned to action and both of these big men hit their finisher on the other. It took the Kodiac Crunch twice for Eric to put away the Axe.
Stan Lane def. Danny Hodge
Stan Lane pulled off a big upset in his first singles match alone in the USWA as his teammates are in ICW. Hodge rammed his shoulder into the corner and Lane rolled him for a fast pin.
Harley Race def. Frank Gotch
This was match No. 5 in the Frank Gotch 10 Match Trial Series. Race dominated this one as Gotch never got a strong hold applied. Race hammered away until getting the pin with the Piledriver.
Valiants, Don Muraco def. Road Warriors, Brutus Beefcake
Beefcake picked up some big time help against Lou Albano's men. This six man tag was a rough and tumble struggle back and forth. The Valiants got the win with the Top Rope Elbow. Out of nowhere two huge men stormed the ring and attacked Hawk and Animal. Albano showed off his newest tag team, Alofa and Samu the Wild Samoans!
Bobo Brazil def. Iron Sheik in a Lumberjack Match
These two batted it out once more and actually stayed in the ring most of the time. Both did take a beating while on the floor. Bobo survived the Camel Clutch for a long time before coming back to beat the Iron Sheik.
Curt Hennig def. Ed Lewis to win the U.S. title
Curt Hennig stayed away from the power and the headlock of Lewis. The champ fought hard and stayed alive as long as he could but Hennig never let up and took the U.S. title with the Perfect Plex.

Here is the background for the ongoing Frank Gotch 10 Match Trial Series in the USWA.
Interview: Frank Gotch has not been actively wrestling in recent months. The quiet man had a few words. He announced that the U.S. title is his primary goal at this time. To that end he is undertaking a personal challenge to defeat every man in the top 10 rankings of the USWA before taking the U.S. strap. After that his ultimate goal is the world heavyweight title.
The first of 10 trial matches for Frank Gotch is on the card when he faces Buddy Rose. Gotch has set a challenge of beating the top 10 ranked wrestlers in the USWA on his way to the title. Rose is trying to recover from Sherri Martel leaving him and showing up in ICW.
PARADE OF CHAMPIONS Sam Houston Coliseum Houston, TX
FRANK GOTCH 10 MATCH TRIAL SERIES #1
Frank Gotch def. Buddy Rose The first of a series of matches pitting Frank Gotch against the top 10 wrestlers in the USWA. Rose fought off the leg work by Gotch who used the figure four and the rolling knee bar to set up the Toe Hold. Rose hung in there, helped out by a foreign object, but finally the Toe Hold was too much for him to withstand.
USWA Glory #70 Louisville, KY May 1, 2118

USWA Glory #73 Buffalo, NY May 22, 2118
Destroyer def. Frank Gotch
This was match #3 in the Frank Gotch Trial Match Series. It was an amazing technical contest as the two traded crippling leg holds. The Cauliflower Cup Tournament Pittsburgh, PA May 29, 2118
Frank Gotch def. Anonio Inoki
This was No. 4 in the Frank Gotch 10 Match Trial Series. An amazing technical display by both grapplers. Inoki could not stand anymore after Gotch repeatedly used the rolling knee bar and took the win with the Toe Hold.
USWA Glory #75 Philadelphia, PA June 5, 2118
Frank Gotch continues his 10 Match Trial Series against Harley Race, the man who went to the finals of the Cauliflower Cup Tournament.

Trudy Denucci def. Alexis Laree
Denucci debuted with a nice win over Laree. The match went back and forth, but a second New Jersey Jam finished off Laree.
Greg Valentine def. S.D. Jones
The Hammer took his time in dishing out the punishment, but Jones kept fighting back all along. Valentine took care of business though, chopping SD down for the pin.
Virgil def. Stan Lane
A week before World TV champ Stan Lane defends against Dr. Death Steve Williams, Virgil pulls off a major upset in a non-title match. Lane had plenty of chances to win, but Virgil wouldn't go away. Virgil took the victory with the Cobra Clutch. He didn't get to celebrate long though, as Dr. Tom Prichard raced in and laid him out with a shot to the back of the head with brass knucks.
Bobo Brazil def. George South
South put up a valiant effort, but too many Coco Butts put him down.
Curt Hennig def. Brad Armstrong
New U.S. champion Curt Hennig took care of business with the Perfect Plex.
Jimmy Valiant def. Bob Armstrong
The Boogie Woogie Man, co-holder of the U.S. tag titles, beat Bob Armstrong with a Sleeper. Albano and Valiant kept working Armstrong over, but Brad ran out for the save.

A real hard-hitting contest as the Axe fought hard but Lewis was too much this time. Finally his punishing side headlock ended the match.
Don Muraco def. Brutus Beefcake
Beefcake continues to fight Albano's Army after Valentine turned on him. Beefcake gave Muraco a great fight, but the Hawaiian Hammer ended the match.
Road Warriors def. Samoan Island Tribe

USWA Glory #78 Syracuse, NY June 26, 2118

Big Red really poured it on after Yumi started the match fast and with a lot of offense. A Fisherman Suplex and then the Head Hunter gave her the win.
RED BASTIEN def. S.D. JONES
S.D. got a little rough with Bastien on the outside. Jones had a lot of offense, but Bastien caught him off the ropes with a rollup for the three count.
YUKON ERIC def. GEORGE SOUTH
South got some cheers as he would not stay down or go away. Yukon was still too much for him and crushed him in the corner for the pin.
TOM PRICHARD def. VIRGIL
Virgil was on fire after Prichard attacked him last week. This match just missd the 15 min. time limit by several seconds. Prichard won with an enzuigiri.
ED LEWIS def. DANNY HODGE
Hodge came close early on to picking up a win, but Lewis asserted his control and quickly wore him out.
FRANK GOTCH 10 MATCH TRIAL SERIES #6
FRANK GOTCH def. BOBO BRAZIL by D.Q.
A great back and forth technical match. Bobo's power gave Gotch trouble, but his mat wrestling kept getting him out of it. Bobo accidentally nailed the referee, and after some time he came to and rang the bell. During the time without a ref, Bobo twice had Gotch down for a pin.
BRUTUS BEEFCAKE and GREG VALENTINE TIME LIMIT DRAW
This feud really intensified during the match. Albano tried to help the Hammer but it didn't work. They fought toe to toe, pillar to post, until the bell rang.
U.S. TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP ARMSTRONGS def. VALIANTS (ch)
The last title match between these two ended with the Armstrongs being disqualified. This time around the Valiants put Bob in a lot of trouble to start the match. Brad got the tag and tore into Jimmy Valiant. After a flurry of moves the Russian Leg Sweep put him down for the three and the Armstrongs escaped with the U.S. tag team belts!
Albano called for the Army, and Don Muraco and the Samoans raced in to beat down the Armstrongs. A large brawl started when Harley Race, Larry and Curt Hennig joined the melee.
With all the fighting going on, the bell rang.
CURT HENNIG def. DON MURACO
These two went right into their match. Muraco didn't look bad against the U.S. champion, but Hennig won with a sleeper.
ROAD WARRIORS def. HARLEY RACE/LARRY HENNIG
A great main event as the LOD had their hands full with the rough and tough team of Race and Hennig. The Axe took most of the beating and the Doomsday Device finished him off.

ED LEWIS def. YUKON ERIC
The Strangler did what he wanted to for most of the match. Eric rallied but had been pretty well worn down and Lewis finished him off. Lewis is hoping to get a rematch for the U.S. title against Curt Hennig at Clash of the Champions.
HEAVENLY BODIES def. S.D. JONES/VIRGIL
The Bodies first match together and they laid waste to both S.D. and Virgil. After Lane put Virgil away off the top rope, the Bodies continued to attack both men.
GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT def. DANNY HODGE
Hodge overcame the size difference for a short while, but Hackenschmidt was just too strong and the bear hug gave him the win.
VALIANTS def. HARLEY RACE/LARRY HENNIG
A really good tag match with both teams maintaining the offense and getting near falls. Albano helped get the Valiants going and the top rope elbow beat Hennig.
GREG VALENTINE def. BRUTUS BEEFCAKE
The Hammer rushed out and blasted Beefcake with a chair before the bell rang. Beefcake never recovered and was at the mercy of Valentine. The match finally ended with the figure four, and Valentine would not release the hold after the match. Beefcake looks to be out of action for maybe a couple weeks.
DON MURACO def. CURT HENNIG
A rematch from last week, and this one was another barn burner. Muraco came up with a win over the U.S. champ. The Valiants came down again which brought out Race and the Axe for another brawl.
FRANK GOTCH def. BOBO BRAZIL
Another rematch from last week and another great one. They went back and forth but Gotch was able to force the submission after working the leg.

Tonight on a very special edition of Glory, the first round of the 32-man NWA World Jr. heavyweight title tournament takes place.
MIKE QUACKENBUSH def. TYLER BLACK
The Quackster has been in ECW this past month, while Black is the first of many new young stars in this tremendous tournament. Black didn't get a chance to do anything at all as Quackenbush tore right through him with the Quackendriver three times before a swanton dive for the pin.
GORGEOUS GEORGE def. PEPPER GOMEZ
George was quick to get things going his way. Gomez kept fighting off the spinning toe hold but submitted to the figure four.
ANTONINO ROCCA def. LARRY SWEENEY
Sweeney really looked good and very nearly won this match. He was all over Rocca, utilizing the piledriver over and over. Rocca was in a lot of trouble, but pulled off a Victory Roll out of nowhere to get the pin.
ARIK CANNON def. SCOTTY VORTEKZ
Cannon was methodical in his attack, but Vortekz fought back and hard the whole match. Cannon got the win with the Glimmering Warlock.
JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER def. DANNY DORING
Liger gave the fans their first real taste of high-flying wrestling, and Doring never got on track. The Fisherman Buster a second time ended the match.
SABU def. SAVAGE-T
The Savage one was cannon fodder for Sabu. This one ended quickly with a slingshot leg drop.
IRON MIKE DIBIASE def. BRAD ARMSTRONG
Armstrong, co-holder of the U.S. tag team titles, went back and forth with DiBiase on the mat. Iron Mike came back after Brad missed off the top. DiBiase hit the top rope knee drop and a piledriver to win the match.
CHUCK TAYLOR def. DRAKE YOUNGER
Taylor flew all around the ring, and Younger never got ahold of him to do anything. It took the Awful Waffle three times to get the pin on Younger.
TIGER MASK def. RED BASTIEN
Bastien really looked good and had the legend Tiger Mask in a lot of trouble, but could not get the pin. A Space Flying Tiger Drop and the Tiger Suplex got the three on Bastien.
BOBBY EATON def. MATT JACKSON
Matt Jackson looked great and Eaton struggled to turn things around. He finally did though and used the top rope to get the win.
DELIRIOUS def. HARKER DIRGE
Dirge was the aggressor and kept Delirious on the defensive. Delirious took over though, and after the third Chemical Imbalance won the match.
ULTRAMANTIS BLACK def. DUSTIN LEE
Lee did about everything but win the match. Black barely had any offense at all, but he caught Lee off the ropes for a quick pin to survive.
CHRIS CANDIDO def. BILLY RED LYONS
Lyons didn't show up at all and Candido won with the diving headbutt.
RICKY LANDELL def. NICK JACKSON
Again, Jackson looked great, but Landell held on and the match went back and forth. Landell took the win with a top rope elbow drop.
JD MICHAELS def. DANNY HODGE
A monster upset as Michaels caught Hodge early and then the top rope elbow drop twice to score an awesome win.
JIMMY JACOBS def. KOKO B. WARE
This one went back and forth a lot until Jacobs used the railroad spike to bust Koko open. He held on for a little while after that but Jacobs pinned him with the Contra Code.
Tomorrow night is Clash of the Champions where the rest of the tournament will take place, along with seven other matches.

USWA CLASH OF THE CHAMPIONS Charlotte, NC Aug. 1, 2118
A huge night of wrestling action is on tape as the NWA World Jr. Title Tournament continues and will run to its conclusion. There will also be six other championship matches.
NWA WORLD JR. TITLE TOURNAMENT SECOND ROUND
GORGEOUS GEORGE def. MIKE QUACKENBUSH
An unbelievable match opened the Clash as these two wrestled over 19 minutes, just missing a time limit draw. Most of the match was spent on the mat going back and forth. George maintained most of the control, but couldn't put Quack down, even with some help from Cherie. Finally George got the submission with the Spinning Toe Hold.
ARIK CANNON def. ANTONINO ROCCA
Another excellent match that saw the youngster Cannon dominate most of the contest. Rocca kept fighting off the onslaught, but Cannon was relentless with the exploder suplex and the Glimmering Warlock. Cannon basically overwhelmed him with offense to win with a spinning neckbreaker.
JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER def. SABU
This one lived up to the hype and was full of high-risk moves and excitement. It was non-stop, in and out of the ring. They both missed big moves and fought on the floor. Liger won with the Shooting Star Press.
CHUCK TAYLOR def. IRON MIKE DIBIASE
This one went by quick with Taylor flying around again. Taylor won with the Awful Waffle.
TIGER MASK def. BOBBY EATON
A big favorite to win it all, Tiger Mask, started off strong and put Eaton away with the Tiger Suplex.
DELIRIOUS def. ULTRAMANTIS BLACK
These two are likely to have a lot of matches in the time to come in ECW. Delirious took over with a dive to the floor, and won after the 20 clotheslines in the corner.
CHRIS CANDIDO def. RICKY LANDELL
These two have met in ECW and each man put up a good fight. Candido came out on top though with the Blond Bomb.
JD MICHAELS def. JIMMY JACOBS
JD Michaels is on fire and ran through Jacobs with several flying elbows.
TEXAS DEATH MATCH GREG VALENTINE def. BRUTUS BEEFCAKE
The former world and U.S. tag team champions tried to maim and injure one another in this street fight. Valentine laid Beefcake out with a couple chair shots and dropped a knee on his head on top of the chair. Beefcake wouldn't quit to the Figure Four, and they battled around the building. Both men were bloody messes when the Hammer came away the winner with the Figure Four.
WORLD TV TITLE STAN LANE (ch) def. RED BASTIEN
Bastien gave the champ a great match, but Lane resorted to dirty tactics to hold onto the title. Bastien inadvertantly knocked the ref down, and Lane hit him with a low blow to get the pin when the ref came to. Dr. Tom Prichard then came out to double team Bastien.
WORLD JR. TITLE TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINALS
GORGEOUS GEORGE def. ARIK CANNON
Another really good match as Cannon showed more offense, but the crafty George was able to make the most of his opportunities. They fought a lot on the outside, but Cherie helped George get setup to use the Spinning Toe Hold for the win.
JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER def. CHUCK TAYLOR
Taylor's nice run came to an abrupt end against Liger. A dive to the floor put Liger in charge and he got the pin coming off the ropes.
DELIRIOUS def. TIGER MASK
A major upset win for Delirious against the legendary Tiger Mask. Delirious spent most of the match on the floor. Twice Tiger Mask was almost counted out of the ring. Delirious came out the winner after the Shadows over Hell.
JD MICHAELS def. CHRIS CANDIDO by C.O.
JD Michaels surprises everyone yet again with another win. He superplexed Candido twice, who fell to the floor and did not make it back into the ring.
U.S. TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP VALIANTS def. ARMSTRONGS (ch)
A short title run for Bob and Brad Armstrong. The Valiants jumped all over Brad to start the match. Jimmy used the sleeper and then Johnny hit him twice with the spinning neckbreaker to take the pin and the belts back.
WOMENS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MADUSA MICELI (ch) def. SHERRI MARTEL
An absolute knock down drag out fight between these two ladies. Both spent considerable time on the floor trying to hurt the other and get the upperhand. Madusa came out the winner after a running knee.
WORLD JR. TITLE TOURNAMENT SEMIFINALS
JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER def. GORGEOUS GEORGE
Liger rolled with the tombstone, brainbuster and Fisherman's buster, but missed a moonsault and was nearly counted out. George stayed in the match but Liger advanced with the Shooting Star Press.
DELIRIOUS def. JD MICHAELS
A solid match between two stars from ECW. It was evenly fought on the floor as well, but Delirious reached the final with the chemical imbalance.
U.S HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP CURT HENNIG (ch) def. DON MURACO
A disappointing title shot for the Magnificent One. Hennig didn't give him any room to use his power, and used the Axe and Perfect Plex to win the match.
WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP ROAD WARRIORS def. KANGAROOS (ch)
Managers were barred from ringside and these teams went to war, showing how great they are. A long match ended after Animal powerslammed Costello out of the corner to win the titles for a third time.
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MIL MASCARAS (ch) def. BOBO BRAZIL
A handshake started and ended this matchup. Bobo had the advantage with his power, but Mascaras rallied and a flying crossbody held Bobo down just long enough to end the match.
WORLD JR. TITLE TOURNAMENT FINAL JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER def. DELIRIOUS
A super final match as Delirious hung right with Liger. A moonsault by Liger turned the tide. Delirious kicked out after a brainbuster and the Fisherman Buster, but Liger didn't letup and won after the shoda.

Everyone in the USWA wants to ride any success they had last week at Clash of the Champions for the rest of the month, all the way to Summer Slam!
MISTY BLUE SIMMS def. REGGIE BENNETT
An incredible ladies match to open up Glory. Bennett dominated the vast majority of the contest, but Simms kept coming back and won with the Superfly.
S.D. JONES/VIRGIL def. THE ARMSTRONGS
Bob and Brad let one get away after losing the U.S. tag team titles last week to the Valiants. S.D. and Vigil fought hard and Jones knocked out Bob with his shuffle punch.
GORGEOUS GEORGE def. KOKO B. WARE
Former tag team partners squared off in a Jr. heavyweight showcase. George made his case for a title shot against Liger, after reaching the semifinals last week and taking out Koko with the spinning toe hold.
TOM PRICHARD def. DANNY HODGE
Hodge was knocked out in the first round by semifinalist JD Michaels last week, and couldn't put Prichard away when he had the chance. A second shot with the foreign object put Hodge down for the three count.
JIMMY VALIANT def. BRUTUS BEEFCAKE
Beefcake may have still been feeling the effects of his Texas Death Match at the Clash with the Hammer. Valiant peppered him with right hands and won with the sleeper.
GREG VALENTINE def. THE DESTROYER
The Destroyer returns to the USWA and took on another man with the same finisher. It was the battle of the figure four leglock. Both got their finishers applied. After Albano broke up pinning attempt, Valentine got the figure four on again for the win.
DON MURACO def. JIM LONDOS
Londos is also back in the USWA and had many chances to win with his Boston Crab and Airplane Spin. Muraco battled back and the Hawaiian Hammer finished off Londos.
DICK HUTTON def. BUDDY ROGERS
A major upset as former world champion Buddy Rogers returns to the ring, but Hutton would not be denied. Rogers couldn't get anything going and Hutton came away the winner with the abdominal stretch.
WORLD TV CHAMPIONSHIP STAN LANE (ch) def. RED BASTIEN
A rematch from the Clash last week. Another good contest, but Lane retained the title for the fourth time with the Superkick.
KANGAROOS def. HARLEY RACE/LARRY HENNIG
The Kangaroos, coming off a loss of the world tag team titles to the Road Warriors, were business as usual in controlling the match. Race and Hennig had some moments but the 'Roos looked good and the toe hold on the Axe ended it.
FRANK GOTCH 10 MATCH TRIAL SERIES #7 ED LEWIS def. FRANK GOTCH
A surprisingly quick ending after both men had been going back and forth with great wrestling action. Lewis slapped on the headlock and that was it.
CURT HENNING def. GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT
Hackenschmidt nearly beat the U.S. champ in a non-title match. Hennig's speed saved him the whole match, but Hackenschmidt enjoyed most of the offense. Hennig hit a big knee lift and scored the pin.

An absolutely awesome battle between these two top superstars. A huge amount of near falls as neither could finish off the other. Bennett survived and stayed alive with a side slam.
REGGIE BENNETT def. ALEXIS LAREE
The diminutive Laree almost came out on top, taking advantage of Bennett's fatigue. She attacked with everything she had, but Bennett was able to get the pin with a cross body.
PRINCESS VICTORIA def. REGGIE BENNETT
The Princess benefited from being last, and Bennett was very much worn down. Victoria won with a flying cross body to get the shot at the womens world title. Victoria was the first ever champion. (Bennett pin 8

RED BASTIEN def. GORGEOUS GEORGE
Bastien bounced back with a really big win here after losing two shots at the TV title and being knocked out of the Jr. title tournament in the first round. George never knew what hit him as Bastien was on fire and won with a flying headscissors.
KANGAROOS def. S.D. JONES/VIRGIL
Red Berry's team didn't have to work too hard this time and beat Virgil with the Boomerang. Hawk and Animal stormed out from the back and brawled with the 'Roos around the ringside area.
DESTROYER def. JIM LONDOS
A tremendous wrestling clinic by both men. The Destroyer was able to repeatedly work on the leg of Londos and then won with the Figure Four.
GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT def. DICK HUTTON
For awhile it looked like Hutton might pull off another big-time upset after he beat Buddy Rogers last week. Hackenschmidt held on though and eventually put Hutton up in the bear hug.
10-MATCH TRIAL SERIES #8 BUDDY ROGERS def. FRANK GOTCH
Gotch didn't have it at all, and Rogers made a serious statement about his being back and ready to make another run at the world title. Rogers wore Gotch out and beat him with the figure four.
DON MURACO def. ED LEWIS
A real nice win for the Magnificent One, planting Lewis with the Hawiian Hammer. Members of Albano's Army decided to run down and work over the Strangler, until Curt Hennig raced to the ring.

The Hammer picks up a huge non-title win over the U.S. champ. Hennig did land the Perfect Plex, but Valentine was tough and won with the Figure Four.
