There really isnt a place to put non-filsinger game federations so I figured I would post here!!!
Title: 1993....a new face?
Backstory: So after a strange wrestling year in 1992, the WWF and WCW were still at war with one another. Each one trying to one up the other to become the King of Wrestling.
The WCW was reeling from the loss of Ric Flair the previous year as well as unsettling around the federation from even more loss of ties to the NWA. Sing was emerging as a huge star in the federation as well as Vader, but other than that, the WCW was on deaths door.
The WWF was working hard to build around Flair in 1992 but after the year Flair decided that he wanted to return to WCW but agreed to work out his contract. Also the imminent departure of Hulk Hogan on the Horizon and the scandals the WWF was facing outside the ring, McMahon was forced to push younger talent like Bret Hart (The Champion) Shawn Michaels (IC Champion), Razor Ramon, and so on. The question is can these young faces bring the WWF back to the top?
But what about the other federation. We still have USWA, SMW, ECW(Which is Eastern Championship Wrestling at this time) and GWF. How will they all play out in 1993?
But what about the older days of tight knit federations where gimmicks ran wild, feuds were more tight knit and the wrestling over shadowed all the outside problems? Well A group of investors who are tired of all the negativity Pro Wrestling is receiving has come together with $2,000,000 to open a federation called World Wide Wrestling. The premise of this federation is to bring back quality wrestling while trying to avoid the outside interferences.
So with $2,000,000 the investors are set. They have hired a booker and left everything up to him!

Breaking News!!!!!! World Wide Wrestling has signed two huge names to headline the company. The first of the two signing is a shocker as this is a former WWF Heavyweight Champion. The Iron Shiek has made it known that he is after two things. One is becoming the WWW Champion and the other is bringing America to its knees trembling before him! We don't know how long it will take The Iron Shiek to get to the top but we know he means business!! The Second Signing is of a young upstart man who has spent time in the WWF as well. He is a tag specialist as well as a rising singles star. Once he heard that The Iron Shiek had been signed he wanted to come to WWW in order to put him in his place. Paul Roma is ready to step out of his midcard status from other companies and wants to be taken as a legitimate wrestler. He has decided that in the WWW he has to prove himself! Also signed up are two young upstart wrestlers Steve Corino who claims to be the best old school wrestler around and The Colorado Kid who has been overheard saying he is going to "Make Evil Do'ers fly high...a mile high!!! 4 signings so far and the booker has been seen on two phones at once talking to various people. Time will only tell when and who he is talking to!

January 1st 1993 WWW Presents New Years Anticipation:
The first WWW Show is kicking off with a video about the foundation this company wants to build and shows some clips of the recent hires in action such as The Iron Shiek, "King of the Old School" Steve Corino and Paul Roma. The Camera turns on live and shows the 280 fans who showed up for great action as we head to the announce booth where Dennis Shock and Kris Kloss welcome everyone to New Years Anticipation! Shock lets everyone know that tonight we will have a WWW champion Crowned. Kloss also mentions that it will be The Iron Shiek but Shock tells him that will remain to be seen. Kloss then started into his anti good guy chatter as Shock sends us to the ring!
Singles Match: Semi Finals (WWW Title) Austin Idol vs. The Iron Shiek: Las Vegas' golden boy Austin Idol makes his way to the ring first. He cuts a quick promo about how good he is and the crowd eats it up. Next comes out The Iron Shiek who draws so much heat from the crowd the A/C needs to be turned on. Austin Idol starts out strong on The Iron Shiek and goes for the Las Vegas Lock but Iron Shiek kicks him as he applies the hold and knocks him out cold and gets the three count. That boot was loaded but the Referee missed it! Shiek Advances!
After the match we cut to the back where Steve Corino is standing with a microphone. Corino talks about how he is glad The Iron Sheik won as he has values and is someone who respects old school, which he is the King of. Corino then tears into his opponent tonight in Paul Roma calling him a preppy pretty boy who has his coming.
Singles Match: "The Pilot" Ace Darling vs. Shark Boy Something very unusual comes out of the back wearing a shark suit. The Jaws theme song plays and this Shark makes his way slowly and meancingly towards the ring. The crowd isnt sure how to take him but then The Airforce Theme song plays and out comes "The Pilot" Ace Darling. Ace is wearing an old World War 2 fighter jacket and is carrying the US flag. The crowd is loving it and the match gets under way. This was a quick squash as Darling tears Shark Boy into pieces hitting his finisher The Jet Jammer for the win
Singles Match: Semi Finals (WWW Title) Paul Roma vs. Steve Corino: Corino came out and introduced himself as The King of Wrestling and told all the people to shut their mouths. Out came Roma to a huge cheer and he told the crowd to boo Corino the False King. The match was very back and forth and Corino tried to hit the Old School Expulsion but Roma countered and rolled up Corino with a School Boy for the 1-2-3. Roma slid out of the ring as Corino argued with the referee but our final is set!
The Camera cuts backstage where a young and handsome man is standing smiling ear to ear. He introduces himself as Scott Borders. He says that he is here for two things. Great Competition and to drive the ladies crazy. He is the man with the plan to please and he never lets anyone down.
Tag Match: The Villanos vs. High Voltage -This one ended up being a filler match to build up anticipation for the Main Event. Both teams had luke warm responses. After about 5 minutes they wrapped it up with High Voltage winning by pinfall.
The Announce team begins to hype the main event between Paul Roma and The Iron Shiek and really hammered home about how the WWW Title is at stake. The winner takes pride in being the first champion of the company. Kloss rubs it in that his pick is still there and Shock just tells him to shut it and let the wrestlers prove who will be the winner.
Main Event: Finals (WWW Title) Paul Roma vs. The Iron Shiek: This match was between two of this companies biggest names. Both men really wanted this one. Roma and Shiek exchanged blows back and forth and had several near falls but The Iron Shiek tossed Roma into the corner and caught the referee and they both went down. This allowed Shiek to take the flag and break it over Roma's head and then he revived the referee and got the three count for the win and the title.

I find myself wanting to play this faster than the write ups. Expect the matches not to be in much detail but the news stories will be the way they are.

ROFL on Paul Roma's injury! I've always been intrigued by this game, though I've never had the attention span to run it.

ROFL on Paul Roma's injury! I've always been intrigued by this game, though I've never had the attention span to run it. EWR is fantastic, and it's streamlined compared to it's big brother, TEW. TEW is so heavy on micromanaging (good if you like that kind of thing, bad if you want to just book a bunch of shit really quickly) and more realistic on contracts and stuff, but it's taken me up to three hours to book one episode of RAW in TEW, I can book an episode of RAW in EWR in about five minutes.

how does 4.2 stack up to the older releases?? really enjoyed the simplicity yet playability of this system... and is it still just as easy (if not a bit subjective, lol) to add wrestlers??
