My friend who works for DC was saying that they have very strict gag orders that they are not to talk about ANYTHING coming up!

I think this is company suicide to a degree. I'm just burnt out on the constant DC reboots and retcons. The Flash hasn't had more than 12 issues of consistent direction for the last 6 years. That's ridiculous.

Yeah, really since Zero Hour back in the mid-90s everything has been in flux... every creator seems to have his own idea of what to keep and what to toss continunity wise.
That said, IF this is an interesting, logical re-boot, and IF they stick with it, I can see it working to bring in new fans with the digital thing.
It does sorta invalidate their Trade backlist, though... not to mention piss off old fans. I think they would have been better off going the 'Ultimate' route... they were kinda looking like they were going to do that will the 'All-Star' books, but it didn't really end up that way... between creator delay and such they turned into a fringe thing.
What I wonder is if the creator owned stuff and Vertigo will be effected?

I've been following the preview hype, and alot of the titles sound REALLY interesting... Jason todd teaming with Starfire and Arsenal... two Legion books...Ressurection Man returning.... some actual Sword and sorcery comics... very cool.
I can't imagine they are really going to produce 52 books a month for long, though, which makes me less willing to buy the whole thing, though.

The TWO books for me that really stand out are Justice League Dark & Legion Lost. JLD has Shade, the Changing Man in it a favorite of mine and a book with Magic, Demons & the Strange I've always liked and Legion Lost looks good with the future super-heroes going into the past to save their future...

I've pretty much universally hated everything they shown of this new DC.

I'm an old DC loyalist...I say that having not read anything DC for about the last 5 years, but I like their characters best. I've been looking to get back into reading but everything seems so jumbled up that it's hard to find a point to jump on. I find this both intriguing and somewhat disillusioning, but I think I'm going to check out a few titles and see.
For some reason I have a hard time believing that all these superheroes are really going to change forever. How many times have we seen something like this advertised only for it to reset to the original formula after a few months.

I don't know. The more I see, the more I dislike. The redesigns are bad, brutally bad. Harley and the Teen Titans are chief among the awfulness. And cyborg Superboy is just retarded.

I've got to disagree on the Harley Quinn art, that style is cool in my book and it being the Suicide Squad which I have the full run dating back to the 1959 issue #25 of The Brave and the Bold, it'll be one book that I'll be supporting... DC Comic Characters I've always preferred over Marvel and the more I see the more my interest grows...

I just looked at the titles, and I have to admit to feeling a little disillusioned. As a life-long mark for Superman, I kind of feel like the Superman I've loved since childhood has finally TRULY been killed off.

I'll probably pick up the first issues of any of the Batman related comics and go from there. It is interesting to see them rebooting so many comics.

You know that there has been two concurrent Legion books for at least a year, right? Legion and Adventure. Also, don't count on that Demon book having much in the way of actual S&S. It's evidently still a superhero book just set in ancient times thanks to some magical mumbo jumbo. And DC already publishes more than 52 titles a month. This just seems like a lot because it is all #1s. And apparently not all of these are ongoings, either.

I didn't realize, actually.... I stopped following the Legion when they re-booted Waid's re-re-re-boot, or something around there.
I guess what I'm thinking is alot of those titles don't sound like they'll last... seems like a throwing everything at the wall and see what sticks kinda thing.
However it turns out, I'm definitely intrigued, and considering buys new monthly comics for the first time in a WHILE.
