Ok so now I have all of the sets from The Early Classics years to 2099 (Civil War) and I'd really like to take a shot at playing through all of the years up until the current one. I want to do this in a reasonable amount of time without it taking the rest of my life. Any suggestions ?

You can certainly play through Early Classics fairly quickly... it's a small roster, and it's supposed to be depicting the GWF before it was really huge... I've played 12-15 cards per year up through about 2082 when I've played EC... you could play a game year month at that rate playing 3 or 4 times a week. I think that pace would be rushing things once you get to 2088 (and a 36 man roster) though.

I ran through EC fairly quickly and never really got too many shows going. I think I was running high 20s when the 80s kicked off. I think you could get from 2074 to 2087 in about a year if you were really committed to playing a lot.
I think the real challenge lies in the 90s and 00s when you have those huge 60-70 man rosters. You're going to have to run a lot of shows to get everyone on and keep the angles moving and such.
My attention span works against me but I know I've played through a game year with a weekly tv show in the span of 3 months when I've been super committed and stuck to a schedule. So it's doable to get 4-5 editions in a year. But I think you're looking at probably a 5-7 year project to play the entire GWF.
