I just got into it last week. It's pretty cheap to get started; a set of six figures (either Fantastic Four themed for Marvel or Blackest Night for DC) and the game download is $1.95. Then you go to the Heroclix website and buy "clixbucks" @ $10 for 200 units. You can use those to buy in-game figures or enter tournaments. I got a real nice starting collection for 11.95. The game is a pretty good translation of the tabletop version and I was able to hop right into playing. The only problem I had is one of my server connection repeatedly timing out or being lost. This is apparently on my end (or my internet provider's end) and everyone else I've chatted with has not had the frequent problems with it I have. I've only been able to complete 2 of the six games I've attempted, but they were all pretty fun until the inevitable lost connection!
At any rate, $1.95 to try it out is not a bad investment if you don't like it.

I still have bins of Heroclix that I have been hoping to get a game in some time. But the online sounds cool!

The aforementioned connection problems finally overwhelmed me and I quit trying.

I wanted to get back in but the actual boosters and starters are insanely expensive now. This seemed like a reasonable choice but the selection is still really limited.

Tried it out, was not a fan. I'd rather play actual Cliz.
