Yup, Nagasaki is on the Memphis roster until December 31st. Sorry if moving the signing and free agent bidding earlier in the month is throwing you, Ty. Nice booking cap. I'm eager to read about the Mayne/Fargo and title matches. Too bad Commissioner Cold isn't evil enough to make the boys work Christmas. Are you going soft? Memphis Wrestling Year End PPV Louisville Gardens December 23, 2007 Yeh -Lo everyone welcome I’m Lance Russell with my co-host Dave Brown live from the Louisville Gardens. Dave we have quite a show scheduled tonight including 2 title matches. That’s right Lance but lets not forget the big announcement from Commissioner Cold about the future of Memphis Wrestling. Knowing the Commissioner I have a feeling the announcement isn’t going to one the fans want to hear. No argument here Lance Commissioner Cold isn’t likely win a popularity contest in these parts. Very well put Dave lets go ringside for our first matchKendo Nagasaki VS Sputnik Monroe Monroe defeats Nagasaki easily with a neckbreaker in 11:05 **Lance Russell: "Well, we're here now with Brian Christopher who's in the middle of a very serious situation with the LWA. Brian, why don't you tell us about it?"
Brian Christopher: "Yeah, Lance, well let me tell you - first up - you know the deed was done. And I was the man who did it. And I know who sold me down the river and, let me tell you, when I get back Jimmy Hart and Weirdjerod are gonna have a whole lot of 'Too Sexy' comin' after them."
Lance Russell: "But Brian, I think the fans, the commissioner and - well - this commentator want to know just what do you think you were doing?"
Brian Christopher: "To understand the mind of Brian Christopher, Lance, you gotta go to the scene of the crime, man. I did something my father didn't have the balls to do. I went down to the University of North Carolina and I put the flame on Terry Funk! If Jerry 'Tin Hat' Lawler had half the balls of his son, he would've been down there too. And if Jerod and Hart hadn't sold me out, daddy-o would've been down for the count!"
Lance Russell: "But, uh, Brian... you hit Tradition Promoter Rob Bennett with your Fireball..."
Brian Christopher: "Whatever. This interview is mongy. Oh look here..."
(Jerry Lawler comes out to the interview area.)
Brian Christopher: "Whazzup, old man, you best be packin' 'cause I'm about to go dumb on yo' ass!"
(Lawler slaps Christopher square in the chops and stares down his son. The set goes silent. Lawler walks off the set.)
Brian Christopher: "This interview is over!"
(Brian Christopher runs off the set.)
Lance Russell: looks like a really tense situation here Let gets back to the ring * thanks to Smathis for contributing this interviewThe Interns (Ken Ramey) VS The Fargos The Interns defeat The Fargo’s with a double shoulder tackle in 5:20. A very rare clean finish on the part of the Interns and another poor performance and disappointing loss on the part of Don and Rough House Fargo * 1/2Jackie Fargo Vs Moondog Layne Fargo starts out strong dominating the beginning of the match and has 2 near falls as a result of an atomic drop and roaring forearm. Lonnie Mayne turns things around with 3 consecutive foreign object attacks and top rope clothesline for the win in 14:41 ***1/2Commissioner Cold ( with Miss Tiffany) steps in the ring during intermission to make his important announcement as the crowd boos. What I have to say wont take long (the crowd cheers) so quiet down a minute please. First off my announcement has nothing to do with the fact that you people hate me because I could care less just wanted to make that clear. I’ve decided to leave Memphis Wrestling to start a new territory ( The Crowd gets up on their feet and cheer for 10 minutes straight). I can see you people have really hitting the bottle tonight but that doesn't’ surprise me I hear Uncle Virgil makes some real mean hillbilly pop. I respect the tradition of Memphis Wrestling which goes back several generations to when pretty much everyone in attendance was a dirt farmer or chicken thief ( Crowd Boos)... just like today. I really would hate to leave Memphis completely and let fall in to ruins so I’ve decided to make this new territory (USWA) a brand split of Memphis and continue to oversee things here through my personally appointed general manager (crowd boos). The USWA will feature 3 titles a singles, hardcore and a ladies. Without further ado let me introduce you to your new boss. Lied der Deutschen blares over the speaker as Saul Wegneroff walks out with the Von Brauners to accept the new general manager job. The crowd is stunned and for the first time tonight is quietSouthern Tag Team Title Match Harker Dirge & Dream Machine( Challengers) VS The Bicentennial Kings Phil Hickerson & Dave Shultz (Champions)
A wild match with the action taking place in and out of the ring. Sam Bass causes a distraction after a Dream Machine bionic elbow on Phil Hickerson preventing the pinfall . Harker Dirge enters the ring a few minutes later and forces Dave Shultz to tap out to his dirt nap finisher. ****New Southern Tag Team Champions - Harker Dirge & Dream MachineSouthern Title Match Jerry Lawler (Challenger) VS Len Rossi (Champion) Lawler has Rossi down on the mat following a running clothesline and is about to go for the pin when Buddy Landel storms the ring and attacks Rossi causing Lawler to lose the match by disqualification. Landel grabs the mic and addresses a stunned Jerry Lawler and Sam Bass. Landel says that Sam Bass screwed him by giving the title shot to Jerry Lawler instead of him . Landel says his contract with Memphis Wrestling is up in a few days and he’s decided to move on and there was no way he was going to leave with Lawyer holding the Southern titleSPONSORS OF MEMPHIS WRESTLING
