RASSLE ROYAL (Winner takes home $10,000 cash prize): Norvell Austin, Robert Reed, Scotty Poe, Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker, "White Lightning" Tim Horner, Matt Bourne, "Sweet Brown Sugar" Skip Young, Baron Von Raschke, "Sick" Nick Mondo, The Von Brauners, General Manager Saul WeingeroffPre-Match OverviewLANCE RUSSELL: Weeeell doggie, have we got a Rassle Royal lined up for the fans tonight.
DAVE BROWN: That's right, Lance. We've got wrestlers from all over the LWA competing in the ring for a $10,000 cash prize!
LANCE RUSSELL: Despite General Manager Saul Weingeroff's dirty tricks -- putting himself and the Von Brauners in the Rassle Royal -- I think we're going to see a very competitive matchup this evening.
DAVE BROWN: Word is, Scotty Poe of Stampede Wrestling has already spent some of the potential winnings. And "White Lightning" Tim Horner of Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling is coming into the Rassle Royal off an impressive win against the big man, Giant Haystacks.
LANCE RUSSELL: That will come in handy tonight because he'll have his work cut out for him against the Hardcore Militia's "Sick" Nick Mondo -- who's competing tonight despite suffering an injury in a vicious attack by rivals 2 Cold Scorpio and Iceman Parsons. You know, Dave, that's just one reason why we have outlawed the piledriver here in Memphis.
DAVE BROWN: But the piledriver will be legal tonight in the Rassle Royal because it's no disqualification. The only way to win is to throw your opponent over the top rope and be the last man in the ring.
LANCE RUSSELL: And the odds on favorite for that tonight would have to be either Skip Young of Total Anarchy Wrestling or Baron Von Raschke of the GLWA. Both are talented men with a good chance at that $10,000 prize. But I wouldn't count anyone out of this. It's bound to get wild n' wooly in there.
Play-by-Play
(2:45) SKIP YOUNG (TAW) eliminated GENERAL MANAGER SAUL WEINGEROFF. Young's Flying Dropkick sent Weingeroff up and over the top rope.
(4:00) Norvell Austin (MCW) almost eliminated Skip Young (TAW) but Young was able to hang on to the ropes and stay in the match.
(5:00) Baron Von Raschke (GLWA) dodged a charging Norvell Austin (MCW) who went flying up over the turnbuckle, barely landing on the ring apron. Scotty Poe (Stampede) jumped Von Raschke from behind and Austin narrowly avoided elimination.
(5:45) It's TOTAL MAYHEM in the ring! Scotty Poe (Stampede) put Baron Von Raschke (GLWA) in trouble with a New Jersey Slam. But as Poe went to throw Von Raschke out of the ring, he was attacked from behind by the Von Brauners (MCW)! The Von Brauners attempted to get Poe up and over the top rope but Bad News Allen (Stampede) came charging to ringside and really took it to the Von Brauners. Poe narrowly slipped back into the ring as referee Jerry Calhoun tried to break it up and sent Allen back to the locker room.
(6:15) Kurt Von Brauner (MCW) began pounding away at Tim Horner (PCW). After a vicious choke on the ropes, Von Brauner went to eliminate Horner but was blindsided by 'Sick' Nick Mondo (RMWA). Mondo and Horner then performed a double back elbow on a dazed Von Brauner.
(6:30) SICK NICK MONDO (RMWA) ELIMINATED KURT VON BRAUNER (MCW) following a perfect somersault plancha off the top rope. Karl Von Brauner attempted to intervene but was jumped by Scotty Poe.
(6:45) The action was coming fast and furious in the ring!
SGT. BUDDY LEE PARKER (PNW) ELIMINATED TIM HORNER (PCW) after a Top Rope Knee Drop.
(7:00) SGT. BUDDY LEE PARKER (PNW) ELIMINATED NORVELL AUSTIN (MCW) after Austin jumped him from behind.
(8:15) SCOTTY POE (STAMPEDE) ELIMINATED BARON VON RASCHKE (GLWA). Poe hit Von Raschke with a foreign object. The dazed Von Raschke didn't have time to recover before Scotty Poe slung him over the ropes.
(9:45) MATT BOURNE (USWA) ELIMINATED SCOTTY POE (STAMPEDE) after jumping him from behind.
(10:15) "Sick" Nick Mondo (RMWA) hit Karl Von Brauner with a somersault plancha from the top rope. He then sent Von Brauner flying over the top rope. But Von Brauner was not eliminated because he hung on to the second rope. No one saw Von Brauner's feet touch the arena floor because General Manager Saul Weingeroff came to ringside to argue with the referee.
(11:15) KARL VON BRAUNER (MCW) ELIMINATED ROBERT REED (MCW). A frustrated Nick Mondo (RMWA) jumped General Manager Saul Weingeroff. Referee Jerry Calhoun attempted to pull Mondo off of the General Manager. Robert Reed attempted to capitalize on this distraction by throwing a winded Karl Von Brauner out of the ring but Kurt Von Brauner came to the other side of the ring and guillotined Reed on the top rope. Karl Von Brauner got his senses about him and threw Robert Reed to the concrete.
(11:45) KARL VON BRAUNER (MCW) ELIMINATED SKIP YOUNG (TAW). Skip Young attempted to get some payback for Reed but fell victim to Von Brauner's underhanded tactics.
(12:30) Karl Von Brauner (MCW) and "Sick" Nick Mondo (RMWA) started a brutal brawl in the ring. Mondo suffered no fewer than two Goosestep DDTs but would not give up. Eventually Mondo took over on offense and busted Von Brauner open with a foreign object.
(13:15) SICK NICK MONDO (RMWA) ELIMINATED KARL VON BRAUNER (MCW). After covering the ring with Von Brauner's blood, Mondo continued to use his foreign object outside of the referee's view. Mondo busted Von Brauner wide open. Von Brauner practically rolled over the top rope and out of the ring (6 Fatigue). There was no way he was staying in this match.
(14:15) Matt Bourne (USWA) jumped Sick Nick Mondo (RMWA) but Mondo took control with some aerial assaults. Bourne surprised Mondo with a running clothesline that almost took him over the top rope. Bourne continued his assault, however, almost taking Mondo over the ropes a second time. But Mondo bit Bourne on the arm and dove back into the ring. This Mondo kid would not say die! (5 Fatigue)
(18:00) After some tense battles between Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker (PNW), Matt Bourne (USWA) and Sick Nick Mondo (RMWA). Mondo again resorted to the foreign object, using it to bash at the forehead of Matt Bourne. Sgt. Buddy Lee attempted to blindside Mondo but wound up getting backbody dropped over the top rope.
SICK NICK MONDO (RMWA) ELIMINATED SGT. BUDDY LEE PARKER (PNW).(18:00) ONLY SICK NICK MONDO (RMWA - 5 Fatigue) AND MATT BOURNE (USWA - 1 Fatigue) REMAIN!
(18:45) After a failed spinning back kick, Matt Bourne took over on offense. Matt Bourne again hit Mondo with the running ropes clothesline -- only this time it worked.
MATT BOURNE (USWA) ELIMINATED 'SICK' NICK MONDO (RMWA).MATT BOURNE WINS THE RASSLE ROYAL!
After the match, "Sick" Nick Mondo went back into the ring and offered his hand to Matt Bourne. Bourne accepted it and then Mondo blasted him across the forehead with that foreign object. Mondo warned Bourne, "When you get in the Militia’s face you go down Hardcore! If I ever see you in the Rocky Mountain Wrestling Association, it's going down!" Mondo stormed back to the locker room while a stunned and bleeding Matt Bourne was attended to in the ring.
LANCE RUSSELL: Well, that was just unsportsmanlike and an unfortunate way for Nick Mondo to capitalize on an otherwise breathtaking performance.
DAVE BROWN: You gotta give them credit. Mondo and Bourne showed a lot of heart in there.
LANCE RUSSELL: Yeah, but I just hate to see it end that way. It's just unsportsmanlike.

THE FULLERS def. The Moondogs - No DQ / Grudge Match
The Fullers were on fire in this No Disqualification match. Robert Fuller was busted wide open fairly early on by the Moondogs, using those bones of theirs. Ron Fuller rallied though, smashing both Moondogs with a chair. Both Moondogs were busted open in the ensuing brawl.
Robert Fuller planted Moondog Spot with a Loaded Boot, while Ron Fuller piledrived Moondog Rex into the concrete at ringside.
Surprisingly, The Von Brauners came charging out (gingerly) after the bell was rung. The Fullers and Von Brauners had a brief brawl until security could pull them apart. As they were being pulled apart, Kurt Von Brauner spit in Ron Fuller's face. (12:00)

Jerry Lawler vs. Dory Funk Jr. - NO CONTEST - Last Man Standing / No DQ
The referee declared the Last Man Standing match between a bald Jerry Lawler and a bandaged Dory Funk a "No Contest" due to Lawler's unsportsmanlike tactics.
Despite still hurting from his match against Blackjack Lanza last week, Dory started out strong and dominated the early part of the match. Lawler took control, however, after ducking out of the ring and whipping Funk into the guardrail.
Back in the ring, Dory attempted to rally but Lawler had referee Tommy Marlin check Dory for foreign objects, killing Dory's momentum. Lawler then distracted the ref while Sam Bass popped out from under the ring. Bass snuck up behind Dory and hit him in the eye with a cowboy boot.
Lawler then went to work with eye gouges on a dazed Dory Funk while the referee attempted to send Sam Bass back to the locker room. Dory began bleeding from that eye patch and then Lawler went under the ring to grab a pair of handcuffs that Bass had left for him. Back in the ring, Lawler gave Dory a full crimson mask with the handcuffs and then handcuffed him to the bottom rope after a Piledriver. Lawler then put the key to the handcuffs in his mouth and swallowed it.
When referee Tommy Marlin came back to the ring, he tried to pull Lawler off of Funk to get the handcuffs off. Lawler grabbed some chairs from ringside and bashed Dory Funk Jr. in the head, leaving smears of Dory's blood on the dented seats of the metal chairs. Funk laid barely conscious on the mat. Referee Tommy Marlin called for the bell. He was unable to disqualify Lawler due to the nature of the match stipulations but ruled the match a no-contest due to the handcuffs and interference from Sam Bass.
Upon hearing the bell, Lawler assumed he had won the match and began celebrating. Bass came down to the ring to celebrate the victory as well but Terry Funk came charging out of the back. Terry Funk chased Bass around the ring trying to get ahold of him but Bass escaped into the crowd. Terry Funk then turned his attention to the ring, holding one of Sam Bass' boots.
Lawler threatened to fireball the unconscious Dory Funk if Terry approached the ring. Some words were exchanged and then Sam Bass came up behind Terry Funk to smash a whiskey bottle over his head. Funk went down and Lawler ran out of the ring to the back. Security intervened and paramedics rushed into the ring. Eventually, Terry Funk got back to his feet, still holding Sam Bass' boot and bleeding from the back of his head.
Terry Funk went down to the ring and began yelling for Lawler. After he calmed down, Terry Funk pulled pieces of glass out of his scalp while EMTs helped revive Dory Jr. Security staff had to call in some welders to free Dory Funk Jr. Dory Funk Jr. -- covered in his own blood, an eye bandage half dangling off and the metal ring of the handcuffs still around his wrist -- walked back to the locker room with the assistance of his brother, Terry Funk. POST-MATCH INTERVIEWSJERRY LAWLER: Funks, tonight I showed you how we do things in Memphis. And next week at "The Sky is Darkening", me and my mystery partner are going to beat you down like the mangy Texas dogs you are. You know, Lance, I get giddy thinking about it -- taking Terry Funk's patented branding iron. When that match is over, I'm going to brand one of you Funks. And you're going to have to live knowing that you took that mark from the King. Hell, I'd half think about branding one of you on your forehead if it wouldn't make you better looking. So, next week in Calgary, they call it "The Sky is Darkening" but I gotta tell you. The sun's shining a lot brighter down here in Memphis, Tennessee.
RON FULLER: Lance, it's come down just like we said it would, baby. First we were going to put some Fuller Justice down on the Moondogs. We did that tonight. Next Monday night, it's going to be the Von Brauners. It's going to be real ugly down at the Tupelo Coliseum. Now that rat Saul Weingeroff has done told us that we ain't getting another shot at the Von Brauners. He's done said that the matter's been settled. But he knows damn well it ain't, baby. And if he won't let us at the Von Brauners on his terms, well then we'll spell out ours. Next Monday night, us against the Von Brauners. No disqualification. If we don't whoop the Von Brauners into the coliseum floor, me and my brother Robert will leave Memphis. That's our terms. It's Fuller Justice, baby.
