JPW Television March 7, 2008 Tsukisamu Green Dome Tsukisamu, Japan The current Japan Pro-Wrestling roster filed into the ring at the start of the show. Announcers revealed that the Giant Baba has returned to the United States with Rikidozan to work in the Great Lakes Wrestling Association during March. In the ring, Seiji Sakaguchi spoke. "The tag team division of JPW wishes to apologize to the fans. We did not come through in the Super Grade Tag Team Tournament, and now our championship belts are in the United States. All of us will stop at nothing to bring those titles back to JPW where they belong." Jun Akiyama/Animal Hamaguchi/Rusher Kimura def. Yoshiaki Fujiwara/Hiro Saito/Toru Tanaka This week in JPW action, Saito and Tanaka came out on top in a match against Hamaguchi and Kimura, while Akiyama defeated Fujiwara by countout on the same show in Saitama. The action was fast paced and back and forth. Kimura finished off Saito with the bulldog. Masa Saito/Yoshiaki Yatsu def. Hiroshi Hase/Akira Nogami During the week, Hase and Nogami picked up a win over Saito and Yatsu. In singles matches, Nogami won by countout over Yatsu and Saito defeated Hase. The two teams tore into each other. Saito and Hase battled on the floor, then the Jailhouse Lock finished off Hase. Kintaro Oki/Kim Duk def. Akira Maeda/Osamu Kido These teams met in Saitama this week and Maeda and Kido came out on top. This one went at break-neck speed as both teams hammered each other with all their best moves and finishers. There was little order with all four men in the ring. The double brainbuster on Maeda resulted in a three-count. Seiji Sakaguchi/Strong Kobayashi def. Tatsumi Fujinami/Riki Choshu The tag teams took center stage on this card and this is the feature match. Sakaguchi and Kobayashi reached the semifinals of the tournament. Fujinami and Choshu really took it to Kobayashi and cut off the ring for quite some time. Sakaguchi got the tag and battled both men, and fought Choshu outside where he was almost counted out. Fujinami broke things up after Kobayashi had Choshu in the boston crab. Sakaguchi planted Choshu with another atomic drop and scored the three-count for a huge victory. Choshu was very upset with Fujinami after this one for not making the save in time. Mitsuharu Misawa/Kensuki Sasaki def. Antonio Inoki/Genichiro Tenryu The background for this match has Sasaki pulling off the victory over Tenryu in Saitama while Inoki and Misawa both reached the semifinals of the Champions Carnival Tournament and each hold a win over the other. All four battled in and out of the ring. Misawa had to use the Emerald Fusion twice on Tenryu before getting the pin. Toshiaki Kawada/Akira Taue def. Masahiro Chono/Hiroyoshi Tenzan Both teams went at it with incredible intensity. Both units took control and all four men found themselves in trouble at different times in the match. Taue got the win with the Nodowa on Chono. The bell didn't stop them as the fight continued afterwards. Great Muta/Kenta Kobashi def. Jumbo Tsuruta/Super Strong Machine In the first week of shows following the championship tournaments, Super Strong Machine scored a win over Kenta Kobashi and those two have developed a rivalry very quickly. Jumbo lost to Muta in the final for the International title. Jumbo and SSM worked very well together and dominated the match, keeping Muta down and in major trouble. Kobashi finally got the tag and fought both men. Kobashi pulled out the match for his team with the pin on SSM after the Orange Crush.

The teams went back and forth for awhile, then Oki and Duk used the double brainbuster on Kimura. Hamaguchi broke up the pin and he and Animal continually double teamed Duk and refused to follow the referee's instructions. Hiro Saito/Toru Tanaka def. Akira Maeda/Osamu KidoA great tag team match at that division is really hot with all the wrestlers intent on being the ones who get to challenge for the International tag team titles. The match went back and forth until Saito hit the German suplex on Maeda. Jun Akiyama def. Yoshiaki FujiwaraLast week Akiyama got the attention of Fujiwara after beating him by countout. Akiyama took control in this one but Fujiwara fought like a man possessed and would not go down. Even after consecutive exploder suplexes and the Northern Lights suplex. Akiyama came off the top rope before ending the match with the DDT. Yoshiaki Yatsu def. Akira NogamiNogami beat Yatsu by countout last week to spark this feud. Yatsu gave Nogami no chance to do anything and ended the match in a hurry with the Jailhouse Lock and then a power slam. Masa Saito was at ringside and the two pummeled Nogami until another brawl broke out with Hiroshi Hase. Kenta Kobashi def. Super Strong MachineThe SSM pulled off a big win over Kobashi last week. He got started strong in this one but got out of control and crashed into the ringpost. Kobashi got the quick pin. Kensuki Sasaki def. Genichiro TenryuSasaki proved his win last week wasn't a fluke. Sasaki powered his way to another big win after hitting the King Buster for a second time. Mitsuharu Misawa def. Shinya HashimotoA great, hard-hitting, back and forth match. Hashimoto had Misawa in trouble but things turned the other way. Misawa landed everything he had on Hashimoto before getting the win with the Tiger Suplex '85. Toshiaki Kawada/Akira Taue def. Tatsumi Fujinami/Riki ChoshuFujinami and Choshu appeared to have shaken off the problems they've had off and on and really looked good in this one. Both Kawada and Taue had to hold on against their offensive attack. Fujinami ran himself into the corner and Taue came up with the pin. Choshu and Fujinami argued and briefly exchanged blows following the match but seemed to calm down after that. Seiji Sakaguchi/Strong Kobayashi def. Masahiro Chono/Hiroyoshi TenzanThe fans are totally behing the team of Sakaguchi and Kobayashi as they continue to stay right with all the best teams. Chono and Tenzan were kept on the defensive for most of the match. They crushed Tenzan with double facefirst suplex. Kobayashi got the submission from Tenzan with the Boston crab. Great Muta/Hiroshi Hase def. Jumbo Tsuruta/Antonio InokiHase and Muta dominated at the start but Inoki kicked out of the Moonsault. Inoki continued to fight off the attack of Hase. Jumbo got the tag and went to work on both opponents. This match went close to the 45 minute time limit. It was unbelivable how many times all four men kicked out or made a save to keep the match going. Muta finally resorted to the Green mist on Jumbo which allowed him to land the moonsault for a big win over two of his top contenders for the International title.

Yoshiaki FujiwaraAkiyama didn't give Fujiwara any chance to get things going his way. Akiyama won quickly with the Northern Lights suplex. Toshiaki Kawada/Akira Taue def. Toshiaki Kawada/Akira Taue, 2-0 Hansen and Brody took over against Kawada and Taue had to make an early save after the jumping knee drop by Brody. The champs continue to control the match, and Brody had a pin on Taue, but his foot was on the ropes and the match continued. Kawada and Taue could put any sustained offense together, but battled Brody and Hansen in and out of the ring. Hansen finished off Taue in the midst of all four men fighting in the ring to take the first fall. Kawada and Taue were nearly beaten to start the second fall but again kept the match going and gave everything they had. Hansen ended the match with an elbow smash on Kawada. Best 2/3 Falls International Heavyweight Championship The Great Muta (ch) def. Jumbo Tsuruta, 2-1 The first title defense for the Great Muta. The top two men in JPW fought and struggled to gain an upperhand. They went round and round with big moves and counters. A jumping knee strike by Tsuruta gave him the first fall. Muta wouldn't let go of his title easily. He stormed back, but Jumbo kicked out over and over after the jumping face slam and moonsault. Muta did major damage with a dive to the concrete, and then the moonsault evened the match at one fall apiece. Jumbo seemed spent, but fought off Muta's attack. Muta did what Tsuruta hates the most and that is spew the Green Mist. It still took time after that before Muta landed the moonsault again to win the match.

Akira Taue Co-holder of the International tag team titles, Tenzan, and Taue fought tooth and nail, back and forth the entire match. Tenzan slowly started to take over but Taue would not go down easily. Tenzan came out the victor after the moonsault. Masahiro Chono def. Toshiaki Kawada This match put the other half of the International tag team champions, Chono, against Kawada. They went round and round trying to establish dominance. Neither man could, but Chono caught an opening and the Yakuza kick ended the night for Kawada. The Great Muta def. Jun Akiyama Akiyama and his recent hot streak came to an end against the International heavyweight champion. As soon as Muta put away Akiyama, Kensuki Sasaki was in the face of the champ. It didn't take long for them to come to blows after that. Antonio Inoki/Jumbo Tsuruta def. Mitsuharu Misawa/Kensuki Sasaki Another incredible tag team main event. All four men had chances at winning or losing the match. It was Inoki getting the Octopus Hold on Misawa for the submission.
