Time and time again I have been here. This familiar place. I should know the way it works, since I was the one who had the inspiration. But time and time again things pulled me away. A marriage, two kids, life in general. But this time... I feel different. I feel like it is my destiny. I am in my back yard. Ohio, Michigan, Indiana. Places I have been, places I am familiar with. With approval from many a place that is so rich in DWA/LWA history doesn't have a show in town.
This is where I step in. Things can not lay dormant forever and when a show leaves a new one must take its place. Great Lakes Wrestling will live on, but we are going to take it up a notch. No simplistic results of who won who lost. We need stories, we need gimmicks, we need life. Even though lives have come through here, titles taken, heritage made, it was all in a deathly way.
This time there will be a purpose. This time will be different. Legends will be built in these hallowed halls, not dejected lives that wonder aimlessly through out the world. Names will mean something, people will be brought to the forefront. No longer will buying a ticket lead to wrestling, but it will lead to a life experience. Fans should be able to connect with their favorite performers on a whole other level... here in Great Lakes they get their chance!
Ten performers are already here. I will attest that the performers are world class wrestlers. Tag Team Wrestling will resurge as a meaningful part of wrestling.
We here at Great Lakes are looking forward to rekindling the relationship with the rest of the LWA. We don't want to be outcast or felt like we outcasted them. But for now... I must prepare. Stay Tuned for the greatest fed in LWA history!!!

Location: Great Lakes Headquarters Columbus Ohio Date: February 19th 2009 As I finalized moving everything into the new headquarters, I got my list back of people who have decided to join Great Lakes Wrestling and make it the model company we plan. It seems a good bit of performers doubted my ability to run a successful company given how I have been driven out of the sport many times before. Some people hated how I favored Big Superstars in Georgia. Some hated how when they were free agents I wouldn't let them accept contracts in the middle of neogations with the entire Alliance. And I think I turned several off with my defiant stand it Texas, trying to desperately hold onto the DWA name and go hardcore and slaughter anyone who passed through the territory as a guest. It could be a combination of it all but it seems there are some people willing to give me a chance.
Looking over the list I was very excited about the quality we are bringing to Great Lakes Area and to the LWA. Ten performers agreed to join me in my journey into Great Lakes and the list is quite impressive. With these ten performers, Great Lakes will be a force in LWA. Now I must go off to forge Great Lakes as a premiere player in LWA!Great Lakes Wrestling Starting Roster "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers: What else can you say about Buddy Rogers but he is The Real Nature Boy! Rogers is a multi time champion and a face recognized all over the LWA. Buddy Rogers is ready to start a new chapter in his wrestling career looking to be the dominate force in Great Lakes. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat: A great technical wrestler and former champion in his own right, Ricky Steamboat is one of the most beloved wrestlers in the history of the sport. Being a clean cut face gives Ricky his following and his fans love to cheer him on. Look for Ricky to spread his wings and fly in Great Lakes. The Mountie: A wrestler who can "Always get his man" and brings that motto to Great Lakes. The Canadian born wrestler comes from a great wrestling family and has brought his trusty Shock Stick to stick it to the competition in Great Lakes. Diamond Dallas Page: Self...High..Five! Diamond Dallas Page is known for his brash ego which the fans love, his love for himself which the fans hate and the ability to hit his famous Diamond Cutter out of nowhere. Great Lakes will feel...the...BANG!!! The LWA National Tag Team Champions: The Road Warriors: The Road Warriors are the most decorated tag team champions of all time, winning tag team gold anywhere they are. They are devastating, brutal and know how to work the crowd. Look for Hawk and Animal to run the tag division in Great Lakes....OHHHH WHAT A RUSH!!!! The Fantastics: What is there not to love about The Fantastics. They are head turners for the ladies, the underdogs in any match they wrestle in and are always near the top of any tag division. They are champions to the people and are looking to make a huge statement in Great Lakes. Demolition: If anyone knows how to strike fear in their opponents hearts, it is Demolition Ax and Smash. With their face paint and trademark look, they are looking to get their hands on The Road Warriors, The Great Lakes Tag Titles and even the LWA Tag titles. They are here to destroy the competition in Great Lakes!

Location: Great Lakes Headquarters Columbus Ohio Date: February 23rd A lot of things can happen in a few days. We have been very busy here at the office securing the services of top LWA talent, using our draft picks as trades to get them. We have made five transactions and we are looking stronger than ever. The LWA is going to have to remain tough if the other territories want to compete with this kind of competition. With the draft only 4 days away we are concentrating on rounding out the roster. We must part now but we shall meet again in due time..."King of the Old School" Steve Corino: Steve has been signed to appear in Great Lakes Wrestling effective March 1st. Steve is planning on bring his own old school style to Great Lakes but dont be fooled, he will do anything to win. Rumor is he has been in talks with "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers! "The Greek God" Hercules Hernandez: A Greek God he is. Hercules Hernandez was the star of the short lived Total Anarchy Wrestling. Now that Mr. Holland runs Great Lakes we will see if Hernandez has the same push he got in Texas. Hercules is ready to prove his TAW title reign wasn't a fluke! "No Gimmicks Needed" Chris Candido: Candido doesn't need any gimmicks to get him through his career. Chris is one of the member of the Triple Threat and now that he is on his own he is looking to make a name for himself in Great Lakes Wrestling. Candido has also been seen talking to Buddy Rogers "Kansas Jayhawks" Bobby Jaggers and Dutch Mantell: The fourth tag team to enter Great Lakes, Jaggers and Mantell bring their roughneck style to Great Lakes. Amongst many technical wrestlers in Great Lakes we will see how their rough style will do!

Location: Great Lakes Headquarters Columbus Ohio Date: February 28th Finally we can start to get down to real business. The LWA Super Draft has been completed and we are ready to move forward with our full roster. 20 Great Lakes Superstars are here and we couldn't be happier with the group. The Draft went so successful for us and now we set stage to open up our doors and build a strong foundation. Our opening show will be tomorrow night, March 1st of 2009 and it will be the grand daddy of an event. So much to prepare for and much to get ready. I leave you with a breakdown of our draft results plus our tentative card for the showNecro Butcher- Great Lakes Wrestling will have to be a bit more cautious as the infamous Necro Butcher makes his way here. Butcher likes to take things to the extreme and Holland enjoyed his techinque cause of his old TAW days. Will Necro Butcher carve his way to the top of Great Lakes?? Farmer Burns- Another TAW alumni, Farmer Burns was the last Full Impact Pro Champion and he is bringing the title to Great Lakes. Great Lakes has already sanctioned the title and will bring the history of the title to their area. Burns is a great technician who can ware anyone down and grind out the win. Look out Great Lakes, looks like someone is about to buy the farm! Timber "The Insane Lumberjack- After hearing that Necro Butcher had been drafted, Timber begged to join. He was looking for someone to share his style of wrestling and isn't afraid to lock up with Butcher as well. Timber.....Insane....not even the word to describe! "The Real American" Bob Roop- The first member of TAW and a great friend of Mr. Holland's, Bob Roop couldn't help but find his way to Great Lakes. Using an All American Gimmick, Bob Roop is always a force to be dealt with. However can Great Lakes host Roop and Hercules, who were always at heads trying to win the TAW title. Great Lakes just got better! Raymond Rougeau- The Mountie now has his brother Raymond here and that will help him get his man. Raymond is a sound wrestler and looks to watch his brothers back as well as get his watched. Also with the Fabulous Rougeaus as an occassional tag team this helps bolster the tag rankings! Great Lakes has a Canadian Invasion on their hands! Great Lakes Wrestling March 1st 2009 Nationwide Arena Columbus Ohio
The Kansas Jayhawks vs. The Fantastics
FIP Title Match: Raymond Rougeau vs. Farmer Burns(C)
Ricky Steamboat vs. The Mountie
DDP vs. Necro Butcher
Buddy Rogers vs. Hercules Hernandez [/b]

Arena Show Nationwide Arena, Columbus Ohio Attendance: Sold Out!!
Match #1: The Kansas Jayhawks vs. The Fantastics The first Great Lakes Match is in the books as the Fantastics defeated The Kansas Jayhawks with The Rocket Launcher. The Jayhawks just looked out matched and outclassed by The Fantastics and it resulted in their defeat.
FIP Title Match: Raymond Rougeau vs. Farmer Burns(C): The FIP Champion retains after a long drought of not defending the title with a flying headscissors to get the pinfall. Burns still looks good as ever.
Ricky Steamboat vs. The Mountie: The Mountie looked out of his league in this one as Steamboat took his high flying style to The Mountie and got the win with a top rope chop that knocked The Mountie out cold!!!
DDP vs. Necro Butcher: Diamond Dallas Page welcomed Necro Butcher to the big leauges with the Diamond Cutter for the three count. After the match DDP mentioned how he plans on winning the Bunkhouse Battle Royal at the next LWA PPV and he wants a shot at Farmer Burns FIP Title and Burns came out and accepted with a handshake for the next Arena Show!
Buddy Rogers vs. Hercules Hernandez: In a great contest that showed that Hercules Hernandez can hang with the big boys as he had a great match with Rogers but Rogers eventually wore out Hercules and got it done with the Figure Four Grapevine
