You know, there is one thing I didn't understand about Monolith. Remember there were three big things about him 1) he was cyber/technology advanced. I get that 2) he had a Cleansing. I get that 3) he was an Ani-man. Yeah, errr, okay. That's a big deal?! Besides Wolf, every other one was mid card or lower. Never got that at all It's math. Let's say someone below midcard loses 60 percent of the time. So any ONE of those things means you have a 60 percent chance of losing a match. When you combine three of them, your chance of losing becomes 60 percent to the third power, or (0.60)^3 = (0.6)*(0.6)*(0.6) = 0.216. So Monolith should win an astonishing 78.4 percent of his matches. And that's assuming that his Scammynooper half is no better than, say, a Ram, Badger, Lion, or...Reptile. A Scammynooper being at least 50% better than the average mammal, insect, or lizard, that reduces the Big Giant Head's chance of losing to a mere 14.4 percent. And...this would be why I never get lucky, wouldn't it?

-Dark Star Creature in Classics...really...did we need this?
-Omega's 2087 card. I couldnt buy him as this huge legend when I first got the game. It took Classics to show me this. I agree his 2083 card should have been his 2087 card.
-Mutant is Montrol but then it isnt. Really irked me. I really wanted Mutant to be Montrol. That would have rocked. However it wasn't meant to be.
-Colossus being this huge build up...just to be let down overall.
-Alpha Stone....enough said. While the story was good for it, the ability for it to be unstable so Chaos wasn't hugely over as a powerful card.

I did, lol. I saw it like the old wresting the bear crap they use to do. If you use him like a punishment to frustrate wrestlers it can be fun.

Yeah, I can see that... I was just so annoyed that they wasted a card spot on him instead of pre-attack Pit Viper (which didn't exist at the time) I couldn't even look at the damn thing

I have to admit...I like where the Omega 2087 card was 'in historical context'...one of the booklets mentions that he was attack with a lad pipe by, I think, Death Knight (no...not in the library or drawing room).
It made sense to me that he was so effected/injured/crippled that he was downgraded that far.
I think of him (or played him) as Flair was in the 2005-8-ish period. He was no where close to what he was...even a bit of an embarressment...he could be effective or hold gold in the right tag team situation...but it was still a big deal to beat the legend.

Yeah, that's pretty logical.. I just think it would have been alot better for him to have a card like is EC downgrade at first, then get the jobber card when he semi-retired/managed... exactly like Flair the last few years, actually.

It's more logical now, in the context of the umpty-four sets that have come out. Omega 2087 was created with no concept of what Omega 2079 or Omega 2083 would look like.
Or something.
