So I watched about 2/3 of Raw last night, for the first time in a WHILE... some quick comments:
-- they're really doing a nice job pushing the Nexus, but I'm not totally sure they deserve it. They had quite the train wreck of a promo... Michael Tarver was especially bad. Barrett's decent, but the others... eh.
-- Does the whole angle remind anyone else of the big push the Spirit Squad got a few years ago? I hope this ends better... IIRC, HHH pretty much singled handedly buried them as soon as he came off an injury. Wait, isn't he injured right now? Yet there's still a Summer Slam cup of him at 7-11... hmmm....
-- I'm not sure it did much for the mid card to have the Nexus completely destroy them... granted, they used guys that don't need to be over (Lawler, Golddust) but what about the Harts? The world tag team champs shouldn't be jobbers.
-- Clearly Evan Bourne pissed in someone's Corn Flakes... I'd expect he'll get future endevoured soon, and go back to being Matt Sydal on the indy circuit.
-- The fighting among Cena's team seemed really contrived... was that necessary? I'd think the guys involved have enough baggage to make that more believable.
OK show overall... but it definitely didn't sell me Summer Slam, or even next week, really.

I wonder if the "conflict" between the guys on Cena's team isn't a set-up, like they're pretending to fight with each other to throw the Nexus off. May be a little too cerebral for the WWF, though.
I hope Evan Bourne goes back to the indies, where I may start liking him again once he stops being Rey Mysterio 3.0.
Also: Man, Kaval is tiny.

I could kinda see that actually.... after all, Cena said he'd be working on his team for 'weeks' in the promo where he brought them out.
I still suspect HHH is going to somehow save the day, though.... as usual.
