Recently watched in the Holland Household was (Which this has been from Netflix and some older stuff at that):
Brothers: This movie was awesome. Very gripping and really made you think what war veterans go through.
Land of the Lost: While it had a few funny spots, this movie was garbage.
Funny People: It was decent at best. Really started out fast then went to a grueling pace. Also they could have done more with the Sandler characters health problems.

Open Range to me was a great western, I only like a few Costner films and this is at the top of that list and the gun fight scene toward the end really rocked!

Sorry, I was gonna write something about the movies. I really liked it, because it was not toned down for kids. It was a solid PG-13. The story was good and pretty close to the comic. The Johna Hex short was really cool as well.

I've got a lot of Mexican horror/wrestler movies with El Santo, Blue Demon, etc. My friend Lonnie and I started watching them several years ago. We also got into the old movie serials. They make us laugh a lot. We also go for the B horror and monster movies. Asian horror is usually good, and he has a big anime collection.

MST3K is funny, but these movies don't need that treatment to get a laugh.

I am just saying that Samson vs. The Vampire Women was my first exposure to them. I actually went and found a copy on DVD of SvsVW non-MST3Ked....but I do have ALL the MST3Ks as well.

Yeah, MST3K is great... Scifi use to have it on pretty regularly, before they decided to suck.
What anime do you like, Ty?

Yeah, MST3K is great... Scifi use to have it on pretty regularly, before they decided to suck. SyFy probablly doesn't own the rights to show them anymore.

Anime, I usually like the sci-fi stuff. Some horror. What I have in my collection is pretty old now. One thing from recent years I have is the Witchblade series. Loosely based on the Image comic book but given a Japanese take on the item and character.

Hey Jason, was that Batman one any good? I've picked it up and almost bought it a couple times now. My opinion on the Batman is that it was good...but not great. I think the whole story felt a little...rushed. I felt cheated out of the deserved build. It also seemed that they knew who the Red Hood was very early eliminating some of the suspense. I think that lessoned the Red Hood (and his alias) as a villan similar to rushing a wrestling storyline.

I'm looking for something to watch next after I finish Full Metal Alchemist... which is incredible, btw... the new version that follows the manga is worlds better than the original (and I really liked the original)

Far as anime goes, my only exposure to it has been DragonBallZ, The Boondocks, Street Fighter II V, Street Fighter Alpha, and Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. Maybe a couple of episodes of Full Metal Alchemist, too. Not 100% on that.
