So, tonight is RAW's 900th episode and it made me think how many RAWs I had actually attended. The answer is 5. 5 RAWs out of 900 is only .6% (rounded, as it is .00555555..... as a decimal).
And yet, I have never been to a SmackDown!
ROH, ECW (original & WWE version), NEW, other indies, but never a SmackDown! Kinda funny.

When they were taping it with RAW?

ECW House Show, where they were trying out all the guys who eventually ended up on ECW. The main event, which was the first match, was Sabu vs. Big Show. It was cool. CM Punk wrestled Slyvia in a good 10 to 12 minute mattch. Good tag team action as well. When did you see WWECW, but not SD? When they were taping it with RAW?

The one at the ECW Arena, from what I remember of the report, sounded bad.

This was in Poughkeepsie, NY (a place that we saw several original ECW events) and it was pretty cool, because each match was longer, as it was NOT for TV.

Those early days of WWECW were pretty good... they really sold Big Show as a dominant champ.

I've always thought he had more to offer than the WWE gave him credit for. He can be a monster heel, but he also has personality.
He's not a good worker, but that's not really a problem in today's WWE, really.

I always liked The Giant (hate the Big Show moniker)...I felt he was a good worker early in his career...unfortunately, due to laziness or growing lack of mobility...he has significantly declined. Not unusual, in his early days, to sell (maybe too much) such as a body slam or suplex. I can't remember the last time I saw him off his feet. I kinda like 'the Big Show' as a name... far better than when they tried to market him as the son of Andre, IMO.
I don't really remember him much from WCW, though, I was all about WWF at that time.

Part of the problem with anyone of Giant size...is that without a similar size opponent, it's just not believable...or it makes him look like an oaf. Paul would have been better suited to an Andre type role in the territories where he would have rotated territories frequently and been pushed as a monster.

Hennig gave him the Hennig Plex too, IIRC. Cena's lifted Show for the Attitude Adjustment a bunch of times, Brock's done the F-Five to Show a fair number of times, too.

Very true.. he would have done that role perfectly... perhaps even better than Andre, with his mic skills. He's not the worker yound Andre was, certainly, but he's been good as both face and heel, and I really think Andre struggled in the heel role, he was just too nice seeming to be really scary.

Tonight's main event sounds interesting. It's John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Edge, and Chris Jericho vs. The Nexus of Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, David Otunga, and Michael Tarver.
