While it DOES sound interesting, it boggles my mind as to why WWE continually re-do PPV matches on Raw a couple weeks later.. are they trying to discourage PPV buys?

I'm not sure I'd say that... it makes sense in the context of the ongoing Nexus angle, but it doesn't from a business standpoint... at least IMHO.
I kinda wonder how much (if any) ratings would increase on the weekly show if they got rid of PPVs... (Or made it just the 4 main nes) people wouldn't feel like they have to spend money to follow it, so they might get more casual fans.. and if the TVs shows MEANT something maybe more people would watch every week instead of occassionally.

Oh awesome, Bret vs. Taker in the main event! You know, because Bret can take a chokeslam, big boot, clothesline, Tombstone, bump without having another stroke.

Not too surprisingly, not only was that not really the main event, but Hart didn't get in the ring.
I really love the flashback idea, but they have 17 years of history, for god's sake... 3 of 5 of the flashbacks have been from the last year or so.

Dos Caras Jr is beating up Bourne and Mark Henry breaks it up? Ok?

I guess that want to get as many Smackdown guys on the show as possible so the ratings won't suck when the move to Sci-Fi?
I liked Albert Del Rio... similar to a Mexican JBL, I see that, but if he has some game that could be really good.

Dos Caras Jr is beating up Bourne and Mark Henry breaks it up? Ok? Classic 'big face doesn't like seeing the big heel bully little guys' routine. So far, it's been interesting as far as story, not so much on the wrestling.

I like Del Rio also, but there just isn't a lot of story yet, beyond the basics.

At least CM Punk is making me laugh.

And here's Punk... ironic they're using Raw's anniversary as a two hour commercial for Smackdown.
Some good clips, at least, though if they were gonna show someone getting thrown overboard, didn't they do that with Rock/Austin?

That Punk segment was great until Big Show came out like LOL I'M GONNA RUIN EVERYONE'S NIGHT BY BEING ALIVE.

Awww... Show was good too.. definitely the best segment of the show.
Edge mocking Sheamus was pretty good too, though, fella.
Is it really true he's won 27 (or whatever he said) titles? That's crazy... but I guess it makes sense... prolly like 10 tag reigns (7 or 8 with Christian and a couple with Jericho) then there was a couple European title reigns and an IC reign or two before he became a main event guy... probably even a hardcore reign or two during the 24/7 era.
