And the sypnosis: “It’s a timeless debate for sports entertainment fans everywhere. Who is the greatest of all time? Better yet, what superstars make up your top 10, or if you are a real student of history, 20, 40, or 50? The debates and cross-generational comparisons can go on forever, as fans compare Stone Cold to the Hulkster, Ric Flair to Shawn Michaels, this generation's giant (Big Show) to the all-time Giant (Andre), or ask whether John Cena and Randy Orton have already done enough to cement a permanent legacy in this industry. Now, with the 50 Greatest Superstars in WWE History fans can enjoy the first-ever countdown of the biggest superstars in history, complete with highlights of the top 50, commentary from today’s WWE Superstars explaining their choices, and more.”
My guesses for the top 10:
10.) John Cena 9.) Bret Hart 8.) Ric Flair 7.) Andre the Giant 6.) Shawn Michaels 5.) Triple H 4.) The Rock 3.) Hulk Hogan 2.) Steve Austin 1.) The Undertaker
What do you guys think? Apparently this is going to be a 3 disc set, and quite frankly, it's one I'm looking forward to.

That wouldn't make a bad top 10, but I have a feeling Triple H could be higher on the list. Maybe ahead of The Rock. But then again, who knows.

On lists like this, the E usually fucks the past rather than coming up with a legit list. For this reason, I wouldn't be surprised to see you be right with the Undertaker pick for #1. I hate Hogan with a passion but he should be #1 on their list but doubt he will.
I think the top 5 should be:
1. Hogan 2. Austin 3. Rock 4. Taker 5. Michaels
I suspect the top 5 WWE choices will be:
1. Taker 2. Austin 3. HHH 4. Cena 5. Hogan
I may even be pushing Hogan for 5. They might put Rock there since there is still hopes of him making money for the E with the Hall of Fame and guest host/GM duties. I doubt Hogan wil ever be in an E ring again. He's already in the HOF and been in so many DVD's, another wouldn't sell shit unless it was a bash job like Warrior's. Sammartino should be higher than he will end up being too.

I'm going to say it and at this stage of his career would the WWE put Sheamus on this list, if they did it is a slap in the face of many guys who had better careers before him and the WWE should use guys who are not in this younger generation on this DVD but I think they might have to, so they can draw a younger crowd to buy the dvd's...

I agree that Taker will be number 1. He's been a company man for twenty years and while he may not have been the champ or had the top billing, he always put asses in seats.
I think the other four should be Austin Rock Hogan and Bret Hart, although I can Trips instead of Bret.

Like Havoc said the WWE isn't going to put together a legit list but I would hope that Randy Savage makes the top 10

You're acting like the younger crowd wouldn't know who Austin, Rock, Hogan, Andre, Flair, Warrior, and the like are. They've all had DVDs released (except for Andre but that's coming next year), they're all had action figures released, and chances are any of them that would be on the list have already appeared in a recent WWE game. I doubt Sheamus will even make the list, though if he does I agree it's a huge slap in the face to other guys who had better careers with them. Like Havoc said the WWE isn't going to put together a legit list but I would hope that Randy Savage makes the top 10 I'd like to see him in the top 10, but I don't see it happening. Top 15, though, I could see. I wish like hell that this was something they would have let the fans vote on.

All I'm saying is that I could see the WWE putting some of the current and younger wrestlers who have done really well in the current WWE on this DVD and skip over others who should be on here just to have a blend of older and current guys on this DVD, just to cross generations...

Cover Art: Twenty seven people on the cover. Interesting. For those wondering, on the cover: The Rock, Eddie Guerrero, Pat Patterson, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, Edge, Rey Mysterio, Jerry Lawler, John Cena, Gorilla Monsoon, Jimmy Snuka, Dusty Rhodes, Curt Hennig, Terry Funk, Roddy Piper, Ricky Steamboat, Steve Austin, The Iron Sheik, The Undertaker, Sgt. Slaughter, Kane, Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase, Triple H, Junkyard Dog, The Fabulous Moolah, and Jake Roberts.

Interesting indeed... no Hogan. no Savage. no Bruno. That should be 3 of the top 10, IMO. I wonder if they're considering the top 50 WWF/E wrestlers, or just the top 50 wrestlers. Some of those guys (Rhodes, for example) really didn't do a whole lot in WWE). Looks like CC was right about the current guys... Big Show, Kane and Mysterio don't belong anywhere near the top 50 all-time. Orton's debatable. Very cool cover pic, though, even if I don't love the group as 'best ever', it's a sweet collage

Why is that Bob Backlund never makes an all time WWF list. He held the title for five straight years

Just because a guy's not on the cover doesn't mean they're not on the DVD. There's 23 other spots.
