I was very surprised to see five names in the poll. That's not how Tom usually works, he hardly ever says a name that is signed before using them. Given the names in the poll, they had to know it would come down to either Dundee or Super Crazy winning. Were up to about 100 votes now and that's around the same amount as in the other polls.

Just going back thru the past few polls
74 people voted for the LOTF 3 final slot (won by MsChef)
95 voted who was the next Extreme wrestler (won by Roadkill)
75 voted on the LOTF SE Card (won by Crossbones
105 voted on the next Vintage for Originals (won by Pesek)
So far there is 99 people that have voted in less than 24 hours. Seems like people are excited for this set.

I think people just want more legends. I know that COTG still is the leading seller, but each legends release seems to be gaining more steam

I thought it had been said before Legends is the leading seller.

Tom said that last year COTG out-sold Legends last year. I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure that he said that.

That would greatly surprise me, considering how few people post a current fed on the boards these days. Unless he's going by # of dollars... which would obviously be the color set (at $49 a pop, that's 4 legends sets)

Not sure if we would hear the real numbers on what has more selling power, but I've heard over the last many CotG editions that it's not Tom's best work and sells could be down because of that and LoW allows you to use the real people and run it your way without being let down by Tom's storytelling and that could help LoW / LotF sells. I know there was huge buzz over the color cards and they are very cool, but there were many errors with the booklet ( not explaining the wrestlers finishers and the new set is said to be a jumping on point ) and that can be a big issue and with LoW / LotF we get a decent history on the real wrestlers and that to me is a good selling point, anyway I think for me LoW / LotF has more appeal when it comes to official FG products...
Like I said on the Oboard that it would be cool to see the majority of the poll for Legends 10 become part of a set one day, Double A has a good point on that thread not everyone likes to print their own stuff or can, but it also is not a problem for other's to print up too. I really think that most wouldn't mind seeing more LoW sets released and not excluding stuff to only be released with the Online Promoter which I don't get and really don't care about, the promoter to me should have stuck with paper and have it yoru hands then just on your screen. I'm old school when it comes to certain things and the game is one of them, anyway LOW 10 sounds like it will be one helluva release...

I noticed on the filsinger site it says the number of LE cards might change. I hoping that means more will added. Maybe both Super Crazy and Dundee will get cards this year?

More is good, although when he says the size of the set is cut back due to production costs I wasn't looking for him to add more cards. That would be nice though.

Don't most businesses pass the production costs off to the customers? With this many good names signed, I don't get why you don't try and get the money while the interest is high. Who knows in 2-3 years if they interest level will be as high as it is to be able to still get the money at that point. Never really understood why they printed stuff they way they do instead of just buying a professional printer and print stuff as needed. Just seems foolish to print out 500 copies of each card and having them sitting around praying they get enough orders to sell them.

It makes even less sense that they have sets that people want that they don't have available (like Early Classics). I think FG is still stuck in the mid-80s business plan wise.
I agree 100% that they should make every guy they have signed.... I've said this in another thread, but I'm very confident that there are enough guys out there that buy everything that they'll AT LEAST break even...or, if they were concerned, only print enough for pre-orders, then make it a PDF (like Mark did with POW). Once they pay for the art, printing is the only expense... even if they went ultra-low tech and just printed the PDFs on a good printer in someone's basement...there's making money... they infrastructure is all there.

I know there's some ladies I've signed that at best are long shots to ever get a printed card. If a pdf in the promoter is the only way for them to see the light of day then fine.
