I watched a bit more than 1/2 this week... flipping between Raw, MNF, and In Living Color re-runs Good wrestling this week, I thought. I'm liking the Nexus angle with Otunga, if it goes anywhere... I think Barrett and Cena as a face team against the rest of Nexus (toss in the 2nd gen guys too) would be pretty good, though I would have preferred it to be Tarver and not Otunga... he's got a really girly voice which makes it a little hard to take him seriously as a threat. Though maybe that's the point, which could work. I was surprised to see Gabriel do so well against Stone Cold Randy Orton.. nice rub for Gabriel there, I thought. I was shocked to see Santino win... it was awesome he actually hit someone with the cobra.. it's nice when wrestling can surprise you now and then. Good show overall.. it had a specific purpose (to choose the Bragging Rights team) and it did so while still keeping the other stuff going. My only complaint was Danielson should have fought someone else... two clean losses to Sheamus now doesn't do him or the title any favors.

Danielson beat Sheamus via DQ last week when Sheamus kept kneeing him in the head. They had a good match, Danielson didn't look weak. I used to think he was the palest guy in the world, he's tan as all hell compared to Sheamus.
I wish Santino and Ryder would both get fired or something. I hate them both with such a passion that whenever I see them on TV I start screaming. I don't get why Santino's on the RAW team. I'd rather have one or both of the Usos than him and R-Truth.
I liked RAW last night, it was miles better than last week and was even better than iMPACT from last week.

Getting DQ'ed because you're beating the guy senseless isn't exactly strong for the other guy, IMO.
I agree Danielson looked good in both matches, but he also was portrayed as a big underdog with little chance to win. That's fine if you DO win, but he didn't.
I was thinking they were going to give him a Benoit-like character, where he's a vicious little guy with great mat skills, but he needs to win some matches to get there... right now he's more like WWF Dean Malenko.. and I don't think he gets past Jobber to the Stars that way... maybe that's all he'll be in WWE long term.

I don't recall that Sheamus and Danielson match where Sheamus went nuts and was dq'd went long at all, the bell rang and I don't even think Danielson got a move in did he? I'm at the point I don't like either guy and never liked Sheamus...
I didn't even tune in RAW, I watched The Big Sleep and right now I'm tuned out to the WWE again when it comes to watching...
EDIT : Just looked on YouTube and that match between Sheamus and Daniel Bryan went 41 seconds when Sheamus was DQ'd...

The match between the two I was referring to as good was last night. Last week was just a quick DQ. It's kind of hard to make someone look good in 41 seconds when the point is to establish that the big monster former champion is pissed off.
I'd like to see Danielson with an ultra serious gimmick, but honestly he's too nice a guy to come off as a legitimate badass. I could see him getting into the main event. The fans like him, and the company have put far worse guys in the main event.

Yeah, you're probably right... I'm just not sure WWE can push a small guy without either the Benoit Treatment, or as the 'spunky underdog' ala Mysterio. What I'd like to see is them to push him as he is... the king of the indies who is giving the big time a go... that seems like it would really work, and they even seemed to start down that road, but they've sinced abandoned it.
Punk really was booked that way too at first, and since his heel turn he's been mired in the Mid-card, despite the SES gimmick.

Okey I understand now, thought you ment this and last weeks matches were both really good, my bad...
I have to say that the WWE has made a few mistakes with several guys when it comes to either going heel or going face and that they lose that edge they had, examples are John Morrison as a face was better as a heel, same with MVP who was better as a heel and it is hard to see if Daniel Bryan could work as a heel but who knows...
