Nets game was real good, Nets never trailed but the Hawks were in it and it went to OT where the Nets won and they are 5-9 now on the season better then last season...
Pacers are 7-6, I really didn't pay attention to the NBA for years so I'm not sure are the Pacers a better team in the last few years?

Yeah, they're doing a lot better than they have since Reggie left. I don't think, against the Heat lineup they played, that they would have done near as good last year, or even the year before.

I think what the Pacers could use most is a new coach. Speaking from experience, Jim O'Brien is terrible.. and he's getting worse as he gets older. He ruined Jaamal Tinsley's career, and he's working on doing the same to TJ Ford.
Never mind the mystery of playing James Posey over Tyler Hansborough.

As a Bucks fan, I don't think T.J. Ford's career was going all that great anyways. His jumper was so bad that you didn't even have to guard him. I always liked him because of his speed and his heart to come back from that devastating neck injury, but his jumper just never seemed to get any better. He would work on it a ton in the off season and still would not get any better. Just needed something respectable, ala Jason Kidd, not great, and he still couldn't get that done.

Nets had a decent showing against the Celtics but they lost to a very good Boston team...
The 8-7 Heat are inching closer to .500 and it's going to be interesting to see if they can truly contend near the end of the season. I bet we'll be hearing "When will Pat Riley take over ths Coaching duties?" from the media and Heat fans...

Pacers/Lakers tonight. Going to be interesting if the Pacers can win another game against one of the big teams in the league, especially after losing to the Thunder.

Wow, the Heat are just a pathetic team. I never understood how Chris Bosh was getting this huge hype as being a star in this league. Frankly, he was the best player on a bad team. He's not worth the money he's getting from them. He's a real liability for the positions he plays currently.
I wonder if the Heat will end up trading him to try and cobble together some better defenders under the rim.

He's really soft and they're trying to play Haslem as a center. They're getting eaten alive by big low post threats and it's because Bosh can't stop anyone.

Nets pulled out a victory over Portland and the Pacers defeat the Lakers...
Miami needs work, the hype for this team has been overrated and when the rest of the team is no where near the level of your star players your not going to look good till you get the kinks worked out. It would be funny if they miss the playoff's, but like Mike told me no way the league will let that happen with Miami having the big three...

They're no way they miss the playoffs.. it's only gonna take 38-40 wins in the east. I suspect they'll get it together enough to win 50 or so, and probably be the 4 seed.
Haslem getting hurt was definitely a blow... Big Z can't play that many minutes, and Dampier was on the junk pile for a reason.

Thing is, could they even get anyone to take Bosh and his over-inflated contract? I don't think they could.
And now comes the talk of how Eric Spoelstra is ruining this team with his substitution packages. And how everyone wants Pat Riley. Stan Van 2.0?
Fact is, its going to take them a few months to work the kinks out. Look at the Bears. It took a while for the offense to start to gel and now they are better. Maybe not the best example but hey; you get the picture.

No way anyone would take Bosh off their hands, not until he's in the last year of his contract. Besides, they're all buddies, remember?
Spolestra needs to remind the players he's the coach, not just the guy in the suit that talks to the press after the game... Labron and co. are running things, it seems, it that's not gonna work.
I wouldn't be that surprised if Riley is waiting for him to fail so he can swoop in and be the hero, but then, I'm a Celtics fan, so hatred of Pat Riley is genetically encoded in my brain, so it may just be me.

I expected at the start of the season that Riley would find some way to weasel himself in as coach.
The problem, IMO, isn't that the team needs to gel, it still does. It's the fact that this team has huge gaping holes in their game. They have no low post defense. They don't have a low post game really. They're really weak at PG. Bosh, IMO, was overrated coming in but he still isn't playing up to his standards. Really, Bosh is a big part of the teams problems. Teams know he can't play defense and they pick on him for it. This is made worse by the fact that they don't have a real center on the team which further hurts them underneath.
Heat fans seem to think Mike Miller will save them but really, what has he ever done in a winning situation. I think Eric Dampier might help but he's 35 and I don't think he's going to bring the elite level defense that they need.
As far as dumping Bosh... New York and New Jersey are always stupid enough to go for that kind of deal.
