Interesting recent comments by The Main Event...showing some class. I agree. A lot of us went too far, me included. But such is the way of the Internet message board. What I cant figure out is why someone would need to create a dummy account pretending to be Ty in order to post it. Ty would not get an account approved there but someone had to approve it.

I sent vegas an apology. Things can go too far sometimes. Still not happy about someone making an account over there like they are me.

This is the kind of thing that really turns me off to playing this game and a big reason I'm going to take a long break from it after this month. I've never be involved with any hobby or game in my life that involved so much drama. I greatly apprecriate anyone who takes the time to sign a wrestler no matter who it is. Without people like Ty States and Mr Vegas going out supporting legends and taking the time to sign new wrestlers things might have dried up years ago. Just something to think before this happens again and turns more people off to playing

Someone made a new account for my username on that board a few weeks ago. But whoever did, copied all my information including using my real email address as the address for the account. So I got the email asking to activate it. I didn't of course but got a good laugh from it.

It is a hobby I love and when I play it has nothing to do with online, it has to do with my own enjoyment. The guys who stir the pot do it so they can look better then the rest, my opinion is fuck'em and keep playing, because we all know the internet is a drama filled world...

Could have been a situation where someone saw people posting as Mr. Vegas as a guest making fun of him and some of the stuff he says, and then says hey we can do the same thing on Swarm's board to get back at those guys. The first thing I thought of when I went on Swarm's was being shocked Ty would set up an account there. Turns out he didn't which explains a lot.

Those guys think it's 'classless' to rip on a guy for tooting his own horn WAY too much, but it's totally fine to pretend to be other real people? I mean, it's one thing to rip on someone when it's obvious, but to through the trouble to set up an avatar, birthday, e-mail and whatnot, it's kinda weird. Just so I know what the rules are I also think it's awesome that they watch this board... I think they NEED someone to rip on to be happy, really. I'm also glad to hear you guys worked it out... it did get carried away... that's the price of message board freedom, but I'm glad we have somewhere to GET carried away ;D

To me, it is mainly all mindless internet banter. I have gotten frustrated with the O board myself to the point where I was going to leave. But I just said fuck it and ignored it. Like when I get PM'd telling me that I am not allowed to discuss real wrestling on the O board a couple years ago, and I would be banned if it continued, yet I see several posts from certain others discussing the same thing I was and yet nothing happens. Stuff like this I think is where a lot of the community problems come from. 2 sets of rules. Or have heard stories about people wanting to sign guys to the game, and were told that basically their help was not wanted/needed. Kind of would make someone feel like why they weren't good enough to do that stuff. Little stuff like this adds up over the years.

Yeah, I used to let that stuff annoy me, but I realize that I was getting UPSET about a teeny tiny message board for a niche dice game of a niche sport.... puts things in perspective.
Now I'm more than happy to observe, ignore and/or mock as desired.
I find that the FG Board just isn't that interesting anymore... there's not much meaningful discussion of anything over there... the only place I go with any frequency is the fed forum, really.

I feel that way at times too. A lot of the time is basically "Who should be in LOW?" And I say Dick The Bruiser or Abdullah The Butcher every time for 4 years and people tell me its not going to happen every year. Or threads about how "insert wrestler here" is doing in their particular feds. I basically just read the feds on there, and look around when new sets get announced to see people's reactions to the names that come out, or people's guesses on who will be in. Only so much you can discuss when the things you are allowed to discuss is severely limited.

I don't think I would ever quit all together. I do have some ideas I want to try for LOW and taking some off from playing to think about how to put them together might help.
