Why people get upset over guys who they don't know being in the game. There have been tons of guys I had never heard of when they got released.
I had never heard of Don Leo Jonathan, the Destroyer, Dick Hutton, etc.
But half of the fun is going out and researching the guys. Finding out who they allied with, trying to find footage of them in action. There's a whole process to it for me.
Part of the fun for the game to me is the education I receive each time a new set is released and I get new wrestlers to learn about which introduces me to more wrestlers.

I agree with you! John Pesek comes to mind as one of those guys for me. I have to say I do more research for the LWA than I do for new official cards, but it's definitely interesting to go find stuff out about guys you didn't know or see.

Fritz Von Goering is a prime example of a wrestler I've never heard of or seen that adds so much to the game...

I remember on the Deuce a few years ago, I got banned for saying I didn't want to research Angelo Mosca because I had no plans to use him. Fun times. There are guys I didn't know (Fritz Von Goering, Terrible Turk, Mongols though I think Nikolai doesn't REALLY count, and a few others) that I used and found use for them.
I'm kind of surprised by the older fans who don't know Don Leo Jonathan or The Destroyer. I knew them before I got into LOW, but it was only from Giant Gram 2000 for the Dreamcast. Trying to find footage of DLJ is hard, but Destroyer is easy to find. There's a few of his matches with Mil Mascaras (IMO the only good matches Mil ever had) and Giant Baba that are easy to find.

Someone say footage? For the most part I've known the people in LOW except maybe some more obscure ones Tom's found like the Turk or the French Angel. It's always good looking up stuff on whoever even if it's just refreshing your memory.

Wow, I didn't know anyone ever gonna banned from the Deuce.. must have been when I was on siesta. Dreamcast.. not that brings back memories. I was a big Saturn guy, and I ALMOST bought Dreamcast the day it came out.. mostly for whatever the new Virtua Fighter was at that time (3 or 4)... I decided to wait, and that was good, since they only made what, like 20 games? Too bad, too, Saturn was my favorite system of all time. Guardian Heroes and Panzer Dragoon rocked!

Agree madddog. I love finding out about guys. I never think anyone is a bad signings.
There are more than a few I wasn't familiar with, but knew of, but loved learning more
I know von Goerning was one (I'm not counting the turn of the century guys like Gotch, Hack, Pesek, etc). The French Angel is another.

I remember the banning only lasted a few hours but it was enough to make me not want to go back to that board. I got a Saturn a few years ago for Fire Pro 6MS. I had to take it back because it stopped working (just flat ass wouldn't turn on) after a few days. I miss my Saturn, there's no emulators that work well enough. My Dreamcast was my favorite system. Could play burned games without a modchip, didn't need to be modded to use a boot disc, had all the Japanese wrestling games I wanted on it. Loved that system. And then I sold it for like $200 to one of my friends, something I really regret.

I remember when I joined the oboard as Switchfoot (previously used my real first name) he messaged me about it, saying he wanted to put the past behind him and I just went, "Dude, you banned me for something as petty as that, nah we're not cool." I mean, honestly, that's one of the dumbest reasons I've ever seen to ban someone.

I think we should make a fake Capt Cold screen name...make him a visitor to gay bar, etc. That'll show him! Bastard!
