Angle Developments:
Christina Von Eerie and Trinity DeNucci are backstage. DeNucci still thinks Eerie is a nutjob but they are getting a shot at the NWA Women's Tag Team Titles so she'll just have to live with it. Eerie says that DeNucci is still a Jersey Shore reject.
Penny Banner is backstage. She points to her record since the LPWA started. She's been patient so far but she thinks there needs to be a title shot in her immediate future. She's earned it in the ring and she might have to do something to get the attention of the champion soon.
NWA Commissioner Whipper Billy Watson comes out. He announces a new secondary championship for the LPWA. This is a sort of state of the union address for my NWA promotion.
I overdid it with the offshoots when I introduced ECW. I enjoyed doing the shows but I really had just committed to doing weekly shows at that point. So I'm going to cancel the ECW show.
Now with that said, I liked the way I was doing this but it kind of threw my booking around and angles got dropped a lot when I would slow down on shows. That wasn't working over the long haul and a lot of guys just weren't getting used.
So starting this week, I'm going to try doing a weekly tv show that has mostly squash matches on it. The Japan promotion will stay and the ladies promotion will stay. I'm just going to do those shows a little less.
All of the belts are staying, all of the champions are staying, all of the PPVs are staying. The roster is just going to be a little more focused and I'm going to cycle guys in and out instead of just using everyone here and there.

Tommy Angel w/ the Bear Hug Mil Mascaras d. Gene Ligon w/ the Flying Bodypress Midnight Express d. the Mulkeys w/ the Veg-O-Matic NWA World Tag Team Champions Road Warriors d. Mike Simone and Doug Vines w/ the Doomsday Device
Main Event: NWA World Television Title Match: Greg Valentine (c) d. Bill Dundee by DQ*1
Notes:
*1 - Bill Dundee still drops the Superstar Bomb on Greg Valentine after the referee calls for the disqualification.
Angle Developments:
The Iron Shiek rants about how he's going to humble NWA United States Champion the Destroyer at the WrestleWar PPV next week. He wants to see the disappointed looks on the faces of all the Americans when the Iron Shiek is their champion.
Bill Apter has NWA World Heavyweight Champion Lou Thesz for a sit down interview. Apter asks he Thesz is feeling for his upcoming title defense against Harley Race. Thesz talks about how he's held the belt for a year now and he's defeated a wide variety of challengers to the belt. Harley Race is one of the most accomplished professional wrestlers to ever step inside of the ring. He's not taking anything away from him. But Thesz is the World Heavyweight Champion.
Sir Oliver Humperdink comes down to the ring with Bruiser Brody. Humperdink brags that someone has finally brought Brody to the United States. Brody grabs the mic and calls out Lou Thesz. Lou Thesz thinks he's the man, well he's only the man because he hasn't had to face Bruiser Brody. He wants Thesz, Race and everyone in the NWA to know. He's come to the United States for one reason and one reason alone... to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
Paul Ellering and NWA World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors are out for an interview. At WrestleWar they're defending the titles against Buddy Rogers and Freddie Blassie. Animal says they're going to smash both of them in no time flat. They've been running over people for a year and they don't plan to stop now. Hawk points out that no team in the NWA has ever held the belts for even a fraction of the time of the Road Warriors. They are the elite team in the NWA. Rogers and Blassie are going to learn that the hard way.
Iron Mike Dibiase and Ted Dibiase are out for an interview. Ted talks about how hard it was to lose the NWA United States Tag Team Titles back in January to Fuiji and Saito. WrestleWar is their chance for redemption and they plan to make the most of their opportunity.
Next Week:
Ted Dibiase vs. Mr. Saito in the main event...
Bobo Brazil vs. Adrian Street...
Magnum TA vs. George South...
also in action the Sheik, Bruiser Brody, the Hamilton Wrecking Crew, Midnight Express and Hillbilly Jim.

NWA World Championship Wrestling #2: 03/24/2012
taped from Atlanta, GA
Hillbilly Jim d. the Golden Terror w/ the Bear Hug Midnight Express d. Lee Ramsey and Stoney Burke w/ the Rocket Launcher The Hamilton Wrecking Crew d. Sal Bellomo and Angelo Gomez w/ the Flying Knee Drop Bruiser Brody d. Mike Simone w/ the Jumping Knee Drop*1 the Sheik d. Snake Brown w/ the Camel Clutch Magnum TA d. George South w/ the Belly To Belly Suplex Bobo Brazil d. Adrian Street w/ the Coco Butt
Main Event: Mr. Saito d. Ted Dibiase w/ the Saito Suplex*2
Notes:
*1 - After the match Brody charges around the ring, throwing chairs into the crowd and flipping over tables. The entire time he screams about Lou Thesz and dares Thesz to face him. Security finally manages to subdue Brody.
*2 - Mr. Fuji threw salt into the eyes of Ted Dibiase, allowing Mr. Saito to hit the Saito Suplex for the victory. Fuji and Saito put the boots to Dibiase after the match. Fuji gets ready to hit the Banzai Drop when Iron Mike Dibiase hits the ring with a chair. Fuji and Saito think about attacking but then bail out of the ring when Mike starts swinging the chair at them.
Angle Developments:
Larry Zbyszko is out for an interview. He doesn't care if it's Lou Thesz, the Destroyer or Greg Valentine... he wants to win a championship in the NWA. He's the Living Legend because he retired one of the biggest legends in wrestling back in the 80s. He throws out a dare to the champions, who will put the belt on the line against him?
NWA United States Champion the Destroyer is out for an interview. Tomorrow night he has a big title defense against the Iron Sheik. He knows that facing the Iron Sheik is a tall order because he has some friends in low places. But he's been a fighting champion so far and he's defeated a lot of tough challengers so far. The Iron Sheik will be going home empty handed at WrestleWar.
Bobby Heenan and Harley Race are out for an interview. Race congratulates Lou Thesz on his year long reign as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. That's not an easy feat to accomplish with so many tough challengers out there. But that streak of success is coming to an end tomorrow. None of his opponents have been the calibur of Harley Race. Not Andre the Giant, not Buddy Rogers, not Frank Gotch... none of them. Harley Race calls himself the elite wrestler in the NWA. All of his skills are world class and he doesn't see anyone that can go hold for hold with him. Thesz had a great run with that belt but tomorrow night will start the era of Harley Race.
Bill Dundee is out for an interview. He tells Greg Valentine that they have some unfinished business together. Valentine has the belt that he wants and he'll be back to claim it real soon.
Buddy Rogers and Freddie Blassie are out for an interview. They call themselves a wrestling dream team. Rogers mentions that they both are World Title calibur wrestlers and together, they'll be an unstoppable force against the Road Warriors. He can't wait to wear a championship belt in the NWA. Blassie agrees with Rogers. How can the Road Warriors hope to compete with them inside of the ring.
Next Week...
Kevin Sullivan and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. Doring and Roadkill in the main event...
Curt Hennig vs. S.D. Jones...
also in action will be Mil Mascaras, Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito, Jim Londos, NWA World Television Champion Greg Valentine, Adrian Street and Dewey Robertson.

NWA Commissioner Whipper Billy Watson is out for an interview. He feels the fans didn't get their moneys worth out of the Road Warriors vs. Rogers/Blassie tag title match at WrestleWar. That's why he's ordering a rematch between the two teams on next week's show and the belts will be on the line.
New NWA World Television Champion Dewey Robertson is out for an interview. Billy Lyons comes out and congratulates Robertson on his victory. He talks about how they won the NWA World Tag Team Titles twice. He asks Robertson if he'd like to put the title on the line against him for old time's sake. Robertson agrees to put the belt up on next week's show. They shake hands and Lyons again congratulates Robertson as he walks away.
Bruiser Brody comes storming onto the set. He demands to know where Lou Thesz has been hiding from him. He gets right up in the face of announcer Jim Ross and begins choking him. Suddenly, Brody backs away and Lou Thesz walks out into the interview area. Brody slowly backs away from Thesz and then charges. Thesz blocks the first punch and then blasts Brody with a series of right hands. Thesz rolls Brody into the ring and catches him with the Thesz Press. Brody bails out of the ring and storms around the ringside area tearing up the set and throwing chairs into the ring at Thesz. Security finally comes out and drags Brody away.
Harley Race is out for an interview. He says that Lou Thesz proved that he was the man at WrestleWar. Race says that his hat goes off to Thesz who he thinks truly is the best wrestler in the NWA today. With that said, he's not satisfied with his loss in that match. He plans to train harder and win more matches and to get a rematch with Thesz in the future. Then, he'll defeat Thesz to become the man in the NWA.
Paul Ellering and NWA World Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors are out for an interview. All three men just laugh about the rematch on next week's show. Hawk says that Rogers and Blassie were lucky to survive their encounter at WrestleWar and now the Road Warriors are going to finish the job next week.
Bobo Brazil is out for an interview. He and the Sheik have a lot of unfinished business to address inside of that ring. He promises the fans that he will defeat the Sheik.

He also reminds fans that the Road Warriors and Rogers/Blassie will be squaring off in a rematch for the NWA World Tag Team Titles.
S.D. Jones is backstage. The Hennigs beat him up yesterday. Big deal, he got the victory over Curt Hennig and he's moving up that ladder to a title shot. Hennig is nothing but a sore loser.
Bill Dundee is with Bob Caudle. Dundee says that he has two tasks now in the NWA. The first task is to become the next NWA World Television Champion. That task will always be on his list, no matter who the current champion is. The second is to take care of Greg Valentine.
