I don't think he'd do Benoit, unless he thought it would generate some publicity for the game. (which it just might). While I can why you'd boycott, I personally think it wasn't ENTIRELY Benoit's fault what happened. One thing I guarntee is it wouldn't be a mystery card.. that would give you all the detriments, and none of the benefits. T He clearly lost his mind due to multiple concussions and not caring for them(the part that's WWE's fault).. perhaps with some steriods mixed in(the part that's not). if there's any good side to what happened, it's got Chris Nowinski and his foundation enough credibility and funding to make sure concussions get taken more seriously in contact sports. You could definitely defend it that way... giving the guy a card for his place in Wrestling History. The fact that he took his own life tells me he knew what he did and knew what was coming. If a Benoit card was sold as a special edition with the proceeds going to some sort of charity or worthy cause it would go over better with people IMO. I know Tom did something like this with a COTG card a year or two ago Maybe an abuse shelter or a child center. Still wouldn't want him part of my fed. Such a shame since I loved his work. Just an awesome competitor...but ruined it. I can't make excuses for him

Some always guesses Bret Hart is going to be in the set though. I think as far back as Vintage he was being guessed at during the announcement phase.

I think they had a really brief window for Hart at best and that time has probably come and gone.
I think the same thing will ultimately happen with Randy Savage. I think they've been trying to come to an agreement and it's just not happening.

Knowing what I know about Savage, he's going to be tough to get just because he's so out there. It's probably just a process of getting the guy nailed down.

Benoit had suffered concussions before going to WWE (as far back as New Japan) and never had them taken care of, so that part's not entirely WWE's fault. But his place in wrestling history got ruined, at least to me, when he killed his wife and kid. A Benoit card probably would generate publicity, whether good or bad, who's to say. I'd say make him an SE card if they did one, that way people who don't want the card don't have to spend money to get the set and have a card they won't use. I think if they donated to anything, they should donate to Nowinski's foundation. In my opinion, a worthwhile cause.

It is really hard looking at Chris Benoit after that tragedy like we did when he was alive, I'm not sure if I would use his card if one was ever made...
