Just got home and opened the envelope if the stats are good as the art this set is going to be great. I got a COTG color card with the set I'm not sure if this is intentional or not

I did too. It's to show off the color cards to maybe some old timers that were skeptical of it, in my opinion.

Doesn't selling color cards take away one of the selling points of COTG online ? Not really, it's a move to stay relevant as a game company. Talking as an RPG player, you used to get some color books for D&D corebooks. Now, everything is in color, even small indy press game books are in color. I think the landscape has changed drastically over the last 5-6 years in the gaming industry. And to get new fans, you need to keep with the company standard. Tom and company had said that they were losing interest from people with a black and white product. So it was a move to pull in some new fans. And word was the 2125 set sold really well. LOW is a different animal though. I think you're getting older guys who remember those eras and who aren't necessarily as into games. So black and white matters less to them.

I guess I thin the old way that black and white should be used for real life and color for fantasy. I understand what you're saying about the younger generations not being into black and white. I worked with a few people in their early 20's who refuse to watch any movie that's in black and white.

I agree to a large extent about the color, but I think they've priced themselves out of new business. Perhaps it's just me, but I sure wouldn't pay $60 to try a wrestling game with pretend guys. $10? $15? sure. They need to either have an intro set as a loss leader, make the cards smaller, something.
I'm sure if they said it sold well it did, but look around the forum.. even Swarm's... how many people are playing a current fed...10? Maybe? Not that every person has to post it somewhere, but I would think if there were hoardes of new players, and least a few of them would turn up on the board... the only new people are really old people that hadn't been around for a while.

I imagine there are a lot of people that buy the sets and don't post online.

LOL Perhaps when I make my Legends 10 order next week I should tell them to keep the color GWF. It would just be wasted on me. I have no interest in current GWF color or otherwise anymore.

On the flyer that came with Legends 10 it mentions a 2125 intro box set (32 cards) for 29 dollars. you can buy the other 22 cards for 28 dollars if you want them.

If there are new players and they have seen the drama on the boards, they might stay away from posting. I really don't know if the game will draw big numbers with color but FG needs to keep the sales numbers up...

I got the color Ensor card. I had seen the entire full color set before and I admit it does look very nice.
The Legend 10 set looks great. After a quick review, the stats look appropriate. Lynn comes off stronger than he probably should, but has down-3 on L2D to balance him out.
I test played the cards last night and was curious how it turned out. Thesz dominated Sullivan, Super Crazy beat Lynn (perhaps the dice will keep Lynn from being dominant?), Jazz edged out Molly Holly in a very competitive match, and Dundee seemed to have some problems with Mr. X, but finally won.
