Yeah, I didn't think I'd make this thread, either, but I did buy the PPV. Poster: Date: December 5th, 2010; 8 PM EST Confirmed Matches:TNA World Championship; Ken Anderson is the referee: Jeff Hardy (ch) vs. Matt Morgan Full Metal Mayhem Match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship: The Motor City Machine Guns of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin (ch) vs. generationME of Max and Jeremy TNA Television Championship: AJ Styles (ch) vs. Douglas Williams TNA X-Division Championship, Cookie is suspended in a shark cage above the ring: Robbie E (ch) vs. Jay Lethal Submission Match: Jeff Jarrett vs. Samoa Joe Casket Match: Abyss vs. D'Angelo Dinero First Blood Match: Rob Van Dam vs. Rhino TNA World Tag Team Championship #1 Contender's Match: Beer Money, Inc. of James Storm and Robert Roode vs. Ink Inc. ofJesse Neal and Shannon Moore Falls Count Anywhere: Mickie James vs. Tara I think this PPV has immense potential. Now with this being said, I hate TNA, but look at this card. It ranges from HOLY FUCK to holy fuck what were they thinking. I'm thinking/hoping MCMG/genME will deliver TNA's match of the year, because they're more than capable and TNA's been good with giving them time. Other than that, all I care about is the main event and the women's match. With THAT being said, who wants to take bets that Anderson screws Morgan over and joins Immortal?

I agree with SF, this PPV has great potential and I hope that it is great, but in reality some of the matches will fall flat.
I am looking forward to the MCMG vs. GenMe, b/c these teams have been putting on great matches. Also hoping for Lethal and Robbie E to be given the time to be as good as I know it could be.

I haven't watched for a while, but that does look like a great PPV on paper, even without knowing the background of the angles.

I wish he would have broken the guitar over Bischoff's head and done the dance afterward.

I forgot about WCW and didn't realize ROH did it. Either way it makes no sense Well, ROH has only done it once, but WCW did it a ton of times. I remember as a kid it threw me off when they defended the TV title on PPV but always chalked it up to the fact you watch a PPV on TV so it worked on a certain level. I don't know.

When was the Honky Tonk Man TV champion? I don't think he was.
*edit: from wiki:
In 1994, Honky was working for World Championship Wrestling and was challenging Johnny B. Badd for the WCW World Television Championship when he left due to a dispute with management. In his book "Controversy Creates Cash", Eric Bischoff stated that his favorite firing was that of the Honky Tonk Man. Honky has responded by saying that it was an honor as Bischoff had fired a number of people while in WCW.

This card came together really quickly but it sounds likea very strong lineup. Definitely looking forward to seeing this one play out.
TNA is WCW through and through at this point, and considering that I still miss WCW, I'm all for it.

So I just downloaded and watched iMPACT/reACTION from this week. I'm so fucking pumped for genME/MCMG.
I plan on writing up a review for the show like I did the ROH PPV back in September. I'm expecting this to deliver better than the last three WWE PPVs I wasted money on (SummerSlam, Night of Champions, Hell in a Cell).

Snowflake thoughts Beer Money/Ink Inc: *3/4 Mickie/Tara: ***1/2 Robbie E/Lethal: ** Rhino/RVD: *** AJ/Williams: ***1/4 MCMG/generationME: **** Pope/Abyss: **1/4 Jarrett/Joe: *** Morgan/Hardy: **1/2
Text thoughts: I actually would put this over every WWE PPV this year except for WrestleMania, and even in some respects, the last ROH iPPV. Everything was good except for the opener, but I hate Ink Inc. so maybe I'm biased.
The women's match was great, and went to more places in the building than a men's triple threat submissions count anywhere match did two months ago.
Robbie E/Lethal was good, but the finish was wonky. Shark Boy return was fun, I missed him.
RVD/Rhino was way better than I expected. Fans were into it and the match was just flat out good.
AJ/Williams was fun, but the thing that killed this one for me was that AJ worked the leg almost the whole match, and Williams didn't sell it at all until after he won. Would have been ****1/4 easily if he would have just sold.
Full Metal Mayhem was a spot show, as to be expected. Thought it didn't go long enough, and there was a lot of down time setting up the ending, but it was excellent aside from that.
Casket match was alright, nothing special. The finish looked bad, it looked like Pope hit his head on the inside of the casket. Hope he's alright.
Submission match was good. Joe was attacked before the match by Gunner and Murphy, so the match was centered around his leg being hurt and Jarrett targeting it.
Main event was good, but the fact that the NEXT MOVE after Bischoff brought Jackson James out was the finish completely ruined it. It was made a no DQ match, but that really didn't matter at all.
Again, overall it was a very solid PPV, and when the DVD comes out, or if you can catch a replay, I'd recommend doing so.
