Easy question here. Wolf was around the GWF for roughly 30 game editions and then made a 3 game edition return.
So what happened in the game books, sets or in your fed that just made you tired of the fact that Wolf existed?
For me, it was when he joined Brymstone Burning in 2111. To me, that one event just showed that his character was played out. It never made sense for him to be on that team and the fact that it ended like a 22 year relationship with Amazonia still kind of pisses me off.

I like Wolf being IN the Gladiator Civil War, but he should have left after that. I agree the Brymstone thing was kinda silly, and this last return... well, I suppose you could look at it as a challenge to make him interesting

The last return was really lame. Very poorly done.

Wolf jumped the shark for me on day one, but I hate the loner badass shtick. I also am I life long lover of things that other people don't value and vice versa. My favorite superhero when I was a kid was Aquaman for crying out loud.

Wow, that's particularly funny since when you were a kid he was still 'I talk to dolphins.. whoopie' Aquaman and not the King Arthur-ish bad ass with the cool magic water hand that he's got goin' on now... that happened when I was in college (Peter David is the man.. at least he used to be.. hasn't done much as far as comic go for a while now)

I believe to this day that there is no problem that can't be solved through the judicious application of talking to fish... Hey, I think I've got an Animan concept...

I think when he was exempt from being banned from the Gladiator Civil War (really, we knew who was winning as soon as the editions came out).
The Brymstone thing was bad as well (don't get me started on Anarchy vs Amazonia).
I haven't gotten that far, but him returning in a top level feud against MODOK, er Darkseed, er Galactus, er Monolith... Horrible

Jumped the shark? Never. The stuff with Brymstone Burning was bad, but I never really cared for much of anything that was going on during that era. Actually, that is about the time I took a little sabbatical from playing. Wolf ended up getting one more GWF championship run out of his last stint, and his feud with Monolith was one of the best things in the past few editions. If I get bored with the roster anytime soon I'll find a way to bring him back for a while again.

I don't the has jumped the shark for me...although, I haven't played through most of his years. I think there is always a place for a loner.
I do wish instead of being brought back...his (Amazonia's) kid had joined the GWF.

And there just happens to be a nice bootleg by Dave Morse for that... if I get there, that's exactly what I'm gonna do, actually

I still want U.S. Patriot and Ms. Liberty's kid in the GWF or GWFZ. I came up with a heel version, called "Turncoat", years ago when I was on a second gen bootleg kick. Also did Incredible Badger's kid, Ghengis Kahn's daughter, and Chopper Mattock's nephew.

Wolf is one of those never die franchise characters, he is the Ric Flair of the GWF and I really haven't cared about him in a long time since I stopped playing and collecting around 2120, but I can say I'll be using the Krazy Kard SE Color version of Wolf's card in my NAWC Cargo Bay Three teaming up with a NAWC Wrestler...
