Are they going with the schedule where the next LOTF set comes out in the summer, or has nothing been announced?
Reason I was wondering was because I figured if they were releasing LOTF 4 soon, Vegas' Dragon Gate signings would probably be in that set, along with probably Tim Donst, Kenny King, and anyone from Chikara who hasn't been released yet but has signed.

There's a LOTF thread but it doesn't say exactly when the set is going to be released so I'm its assuming this summer. Someone mentioned just signing Sami Callihan from CZW. I know Tim Donst, Vin Gerad and Grizzly Redwood from Chikara signed. I dont think there's any confirmation on who is going to be in the set yet

Either way, it will not be quick enough.

There is talks about having a all Chikara set too, so we'll see what happens...

I am really not wanting an all Chikara set, and I don't expect that. Even with nearly the whole roster signed, how many are left that would really be good to have a card? Plus while there's themes to sets Tom hasn't done an ALL anything set yet and doesn't seem like something he would. He likes a mix better.
No confirmation yet but I think if there is a LOTF4 it will be summer, probably around the con again. It was said Vegas got four D.Gate signings I'd expect two in the next set. Had very early preliminary thoughts with Todd on any women being in and I think one will be with the possibility of two.

There are a lot of good Chikara wrestlers without cards yet, and a lot that have been done that could use to be updated and upgraded with new stats and Steve Stanley art. The deal with Chikara, from best I can glean from reading between the lines of twitter and facebook posts, is that Tom Filsinger has talked with Quackenbush about partnering for a Chikara set. It's a great idea for both parties to get that cross-exposure: for Chikara to reach the Filsinger Games fanbase and for Filsinger Games to get the attention of the Chikara fans, as this would apparently be an item sold at shows and on the Chikara website.

A Chikara set in addition to the LOTF 4 would be really great, because that would be getting 2 sets in (hopefully) one year for the LOTF. Even if the Chikara set is only say 8 cards, that would help them get exposure and help add to the ranks of FG.

I think a Chikara set, with it officially sponsors by the promotion, would be a HUGE step forward for the company, imo. I think of all the promotions out there, Chikara is probably the best match as far as cross-marketing CoTG is concerned.. they have the most 'characters' out there this side of Kaju Big Battle I'm personally not that into the fed (I've watched the podcast-a-go-go a couple times, eh.) but I think it would be a great move, and I really like the artist the draws guys for Chikara's web site... wouldn't mind that guy doing the cards.

If we happen to get two sets in one year with one being a mix for LotF 4 and a official sponsored Chikara set, that would be cool. I agree with WF it would be huge for FG to be officially linked to a fed like Chikara and it would be that dream Tom had when he pitched to DIC / WWF all those years back and on a indy scale, but still keeping control of other signings for future sets away from Chikara...

If he does make an arrangement like that with Chikara, then I wouldn't be surprised if the set included the wrestlers that already have cards, or at least some of them, rather than how ever many (6,8 10) new cards. For new players or someone seeing the set at a Chikara show it would seem weird if it had 8-10 cards but no Quackenbush and other regulars.

Is there any possiblity the Chikara set would just be the guys we already have (Quack, Claudio, Kingston, Taylor, Colony, Bryce, etc) but with a few new guys?

That's what I just said. Only a guess but it would make sense to use some if not all the Chikara guys who already have cards, and hopefully some new ones too.

There are probably enough cards already to make an all Chikara set without adding new ones. I could see this being popular at Chikara shows

I could see a Chikara set having updates of the cards we already have, perhaps with better stats to reflect JUST Chikara.. I'd also expect they'd want them all to be the same artist.
Looking at the Chikara roster page (if that's up to date) I'd say about 1/2 of the guys have cards already.

I think they have enough for a full set without reissuing those already with cards, but like I said it would look wrong at a Chikara show if the set didn't have all the regulars like Quackenbush and others.
