I didn't like how Flair debuted in TNA, but now looking back Flair is still the man and it's fun seeing what crazyness he'll do next...
I have to say that it's great Flair went to TNA to continue a career in the biz and I find it funny those fans who are ticked off at Flair for quote screwing the WWE and the WWE HoF over. Get over it, the WWE HoF is just like the Rock-n-Roll HoF which is a joke and Ric Flair wasn't made by the WWE, which is a great thing...

I never got that high and mighty attitude from the E and the "die hard" E fans that Flair betrayed them, Vince, the E, etc 1) Why can't Flair continue to make his living and entertain his fans? 2) They claim Flair wasn't loyal, but when is Vince ever loyal? He releases wrestlers all the time, even those who have put their health and well being on the line. I don't get it either

I think those diehard fans or as I call certains fans WWE Blinder Wearing Zombies hate anything thats not related or is 100% WWE and they also hate anything TNA...
So Ric Flair is a Legend and I mean LEGEND that was no longer useful in the WWE and I'm glad he went to TNA to slap it in the face of Vince and in the end Flair was NWA/WCW before he was WWE and even though the WWE lives, NWA/WCW will always be better then the WWE and TNA has that WCW vibe, which is fine...
I bet the Flairs of wrestling and the younger TNA guys are thankful that Jarrett created TNA, a place to still be part of the biz...

Re: Flair telling WWE to fuck off:
I don't think anyone I've talked to about it would have been that mad had he just stayed a non-wrestler. "Retirement" implies you're retiring from the in-ring aspect. He came back and wrestled after that. To me, it's got nothing to do with loyalty, it's more that he disrespected Shawn, the guys that came out from the locker room and paid respects to him, and everyone who bought into the whole thing that it really was his last match.
Look, I get that guys retire and come back. I get it. But NOBODY got the send off that Flair did. Nobody, not even Shawn, who WAS a WWF guy. Naitch had the ENTIRE ROSTER, Vince and Undertaker included, bidding farewell to him. To come back and wrestle after that is a slap in the face to those guys and the fans there that night thanking the guy. Now, the argument can be made (and I'd agree) that Vince deserves more than a slap in the face. But what about all the guys and girls who lined the ramp and stood in the ring with Flair? Did they deserve the slap in the face? And the fans at the building who thought that he was done wrestling, did they deserve it? I don't think they did.
Like I said, had he just stayed retired in-ring, I doubt anyone would be as butt hurt about it as they are.
I'm glad he's got a spot in TNA in a managerial type role, especially given the group of guys he's got to work with. I don't want to see him in the ring again, though. But I can't say I blame the fans who were hurt when they thought he was done with the wrestling part of the wrestling business.

I'm a different wrestling fan about the whole retirement issues, it's entertainment in the end and if Ric Flair took up a managerial role in the WWE, there would have been that possibility the WWE fans would want one more match from him...
Overall, Ric Flair lives wrestling and he said he wants to die in the ring and how many people can say they would die for their job...

I think if anyone is fair on the Flair issue can definitely see this point.

I'm not pissed that he wrestled again for only one reason.....Michaels and Flair really had a hell of a match and I don't consider any of his TNA matches to have counted. I can see your point about it being a slap in the face though. Especially to the "boys" who paid homage to him that night. I'm more saddened by the fact that Flair has to wrestle because of financial concerns. He can say what he wants, but I'm pretty sure that if it wasn't for his financial constraints, we may not have seen Flair wrestle again.

I've heard Flair on interviews state for every 5K he made, he spent 7K. Flair should have been settled in a nice role as a road agent by now, making about 150K a year, no wear and tear on the body. Shame he's honestly going to be in the ring until he dies. I have no doubt it'll happen

I think he said something like that on the 4 Horseman DVD released a few years ago. Flair'd have a lot to give as a road agent, and I'd guess he'd make even more than $150,000 given that he's Ric Flair and pretty much any company in the US would like to have him helping out their talent.
