According to Dave Meltzer of Yahoo! Sports/Wrestling Observer, Brock is currently looking for an "exit strategy" from the UFC.
Meltzer said on his radio show that the fight with Velasquez has changed Brock's attitude on fighting and he is at the stage in his life where he doesn't want to get injured. He's very well off financially and the business man in him apparently knows that it may be time to move on.
Meltzer also mentioned that Brock hasn't trained a single day since the Velasquez fight nor he has returned any phone calls to Dana or Zuffa about upcoming matches.
Dave pointed out if Brock was motivated, he would be right back in the gym training and bringing in new coaches with the goal of beating Cain yet he isn't doing that. He's hunting and hasn't even thought about his next fight. Lesnar apparently wants to do WrestleMania "badly" and will earn an estimated 2 million dollars for 30 minutes of work.
Everything is pointing towards Brock having one more fight and ending his contract. His head doesn't seem to be in the fighting game and it looks like it was just yet another successful business move.
Personally, I don't wanna see it.

Well, I love Brock in the cage and think that when he wants to, he is capable of beating anyone. As for his return to wrestling, I am not 100% sure how I feel. I would love to see him back but he would need to be dedicated to wresting full time. We'll see.

He runs away literally every time he gets hit. He dominated the UFC Heavyweight Division but if you look at it, how many times before the Carwin fight was Brock actually hit? If he came back even for one night, I'd want him to put someone over given how they smashed the guy over in his first WWE tenure. I like Brock, but again this isn't something I'd want to see.

The main problem I have with Brock coming back at this point is whats the point of bringing him back just to do the job to Undertaker? Would anyone, even the real dyed in the wool marks, believe that Lesnar would come in and beat the Taker and Wrestlemania?

Evidently if Brock Lesnar doesn't work out, there is talk of Undertaker entering a program with Wade Barrett for Wrestlemania... too bizarre.

eh, I am skeptical of this whole thing. I have not seen any reports (as of writing this) on any of the Rag sheets I read (mainly Sherdog and MMAjunkie, which do a good job of reporting just about anything to do with MMA). I have seen this in some forum threads, but nothing official, so I am not buying it. It may very well be true, but until you hear or see some offical press release, I'd not buy it. Dana White would most likely flay him publically if he does leave, so I am sure you would hear something about it.
That said, I was not a huge fan of Lensar in WWE. I was a big fan after he made an ass of himself after he beat The Texas Crazy Horse and then Frank Mir in their second fight. I LOVED how he worked the crowd up and made them hate him. It was funny to read all of the "Brock should go back to fake fighting" lines and threads- loved how people totally discounted that he went 106 and 5 (or something similar) as a college heavyweight wrestler, with and Div I NCAA chaampionship under his belt. He certainly got people to care aboutb him.
I would be sad if he were to leave MMA. The man could live his own life, but he has a few more good fights in him before he calls it a career. I'd love to see if can solves Dos Santos' puzzle. The heavyweight division is surprisingly interesting now, and it has zilch to do with a man named Fedor.
If if does go to the WWE, salut! Vince will make use of him somehow, even if it is to have one of his guys go over on a "real" fighter.

Not really an out of the blue type program. I had forgotten about that... along with the majority of the WWE's viewing audience, I am willing to bet. Still, seems like small potatoes after the last few years.

Well, they could have Barrett commit a massive break of kayfabe and give McCool the wasteland off the stage onto the concrete to set up the match. Mind you, they wouldn't do it but it's something I'd like to see.

Brock was never all that special in the world of MMA. He wasn't ready to be the champ and was pushed by White to sell tickets (which I understand in the short run, but does no one any favors over the long run). Any time he faced a credible skilled opponent, Brock had issues. He lost to Mir early on (but beat him later), struggled at times with Couture, almost got KO'd by Corwin and got beatdown by Cain. A ton of talent, but never an elite MMA fighter.
Brock also has a LONG history of quitting when things get tough. He gave up his "football dream" with the Vikings when they wanted to put him on the practice squad.
I will always seek Brock as a guy with a ton of talent, but his attitude and behavior will always keep him from being "great" at anything.
