CM Punk as the new leader of the Nexus? Ironic, don't you think, that his former NXT rookie Darren Young was one of the first to be removed from the group?
Where could this be heading? The Nexus as the new SES? Or just as Punk's Army? Why are all of these Nexus guys followers instead of leaders (save for Otunga, I guess)? What does this mean for Wade Barrett? Hopefully back to wearing an overcoat with a rose on it. Or maybe he will form a splinter Nexus group wearing black and green, made up of himself, Skip Sheffield, Michael Tarver and Eli Cottonwood? Nah, never happen.
I must admit though that pairing Cena with Punk is very intriguing to me. Punk's character is the kind of heel who tells the truth, and calling out Cena and his fans for his actions is a novel twist. Also, Punk is good enough on the mic to bring up past history (he talked about Dave F'n Batista last night for crying out loud) ad make it work.
Also, MY BOY Zack Ryder made the rare Raw appearance, losing to Daniel Bryan Danielson in a matter of minutes. WWWYKI.

Punk in Nexus is a neat idea, I guess. I only read a recap but they can't be any worse off with Punk as the leader than they were with Barrett. Punk/Cena had a really good match on RAW November last year, so I think if given time on a PPV, they could have a great match.
What did Punk say about Batista?

CM Punk reminds me of Jericho in calling out Cena on his ways, it was a good opening segment but thats all I watched...
Nexus is a group of non-leaders, not a big thing since none are really that interesting...
Zack Ryder and others are on notice of being terminated from the WWE I've heard, with more NXT happening the house cleaning must continue on...

Who else is on the 'bubble'? Bubble Boy... JTG, Joey Mercury, Rosa Mendes, Gail Kim, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder as I mentioned are said to be on notice... TNA should sign Ryder and team with Robbie E., to add a new tag team to the mix...

I like that Ryder and Robbie E. idea, though I'd rather see TNA sign Ryder and Hawkins and reunite them.
IMHO, Ryder is under appreciated. He's got lots of charisma and is serviceable in the ring.

Far from it IMO. World Champion? Okay, that's going a little too far. Like I said, he's serviceable. He should be employed, not champion.

I didn't know Mercury was still around.
When does Henry's 10 year contract run out?

I'm probably in the minority here but I was hoping to see an end to the nexus thing. I really don't know where else they plan to go with this.

Mark Henry is a company man. He's not going anywhere. Nor do I think McMahon would ever give him his walking papers. Having "The World's Strongest Man" on the roster is a classic McMahonism.
Zack Ryder has a big online following mostly due to his inane personality and his Twitter feed, but it works. And from personal experience I can tell you gets good heat from the crowd. At the SD!/ECW taping I went to, he got the second hottest heel heat of the night behind Chris Jericho. He's not a "top guy" right now but there's no reason he couldn't fued with Daniel Bryan over the US Title. And frankly you never know who is going to step up and be a "top guy." No one thought The Miz could pull it off and frankly I think he is handling it very well.
On a side note I wouldn't team Zack and Robbie but rather feud them. The LI versus The Shore. Also, considering that Zack Ryder debuted the Long Island Loudmouth gimmick not just before The Shore but before Jersey Shore itself, there's mileage to be made there.
And yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing The Nexus disband at this point. Let Gabriel and Slater stick together, along with Magillicutty and Harris (play up the 3rd generation aspect like a new version of Legacy, but they would be the odd couple version). Let Otunga and Barret do their own things (along with The Black John Cena Darren Young and Skip Sheffield, if he ever comes back).

Also, speaking of The Black John Cena Darren Young, watch Superstars from this past Thursday. When TBJC and Yoshi Tatsu come out for their match, the camera shows a Black girl in a Randy Orton shirt who totally loses her shit over Darren Young. It's freaking hilarious.

At the SD!/ECW taping I went to, he got the second hottest heel heat of the night behind Chris Jericho. ECW being the operative phrase, though. That was when he was booked like he was going to become something and the fans actually bought him as a guy who could become something. Now he's the guy on Superstars who loses almost every time he's on. If he's apparently on the chopping block now, I doubt dude's going to go on to accomplish anything in WWE. The Miz isn't the top guy yet. There's still an entire group of guys who are at the top he has to go through, or wait for them to leave. He's the WWE Champion now, but that doesn't make you the top guy. For the kind of character he's got now and what they're doing with him, the guy's doing the best he can. And I saw the thing on Superstars with the chick marking for Darren Young. It was pretty funny.

A show like ECW is what the WWE should have never dropped and really NXT hasn't been all that good, plus no TV in the States right now makes NXT not really valid. If they had something similar to ECW where you give mid-carders a spotlight in holding a lower belt and build them up, I loved ECW when Punk, Morrison, Henry, Matt Hardy, Swagger and Christian were headliners for ECW, anyway it would be nice to see that happen again, but I doubt it...
