ECW being the operative phrase, though. That was when he was booked like he was going to become something and the fans actually bought him as a guy who could become something. Now he's the guy on Superstars who loses almost every time he's on. If he's apparently on the chopping block now, I doubt dude's going to go on to accomplish anything in WWE. The Miz isn't the top guy yet. There's still an entire group of guys who are at the top he has to go through, or wait for them to leave. He's the WWE Champion now, but that doesn't make you the top guy. For the kind of character he's got now and what they're doing with him, the guy's doing the best he can. And I saw the thing on Superstars with the chick marking for Darren Young. It was pretty funny. I can see your point about ECW, but it shows that Zack has the potential for being a strong heel if booked properly. Being perpetually stuck on Superstars is not the best way to go, I agree. But the potential is there, AFAIAC. The Miz is not the "top guy" but he is being pushed to that level. And he is taking the ball and running with it. The amount of media and hype work he is doing is insane. And no, he's no Bret Hart in the ring but he goes out there and gives 110% to every segment he is in. That's a lot better than I can say about guys at the top like Randy Orton. The sweat equity he is putting in right now is going to pay off in a few years when he's the top heel.

I didn't know Mercury was still around. When does Henry's 10 year contract run out? He signed that back in 1996, so no doubt McMahon's gave him a contract since then To be honest, not a huge fan of Henry, but for the crap he had to endure in the late 90s, (screwing Mae Young, feeling a tranny's junk), he deserves a lifetime contract. Not sure anyone else would have went along with that (I know he really didn't do the above two, but saying for the show's sake)

A friend was at the show last night in Wilkes Barre. He says it was a Raw taping. Is that right? Read Cena may have been injured last night too.

Watched SD! from last week (finally), and saw the Raw Rewind with Cena and Lawler doing all the fat jokes with Vickie Guerrero. That got me thinking: maybe this is fodder for CM Punk? More of Cena ruining other people's lives perhaps? Punk could get a lot of mileage out of that, methinks.
Also, line of the week "What happens on Smackdown stays on Smackdown!" -- Santino Marella.
