We have quite the set again. This set features the often imitated, never duplicated Chaos. Perhaps the greatest wrestler in GWF history. You also have the debut of the uber crappy Keepers of the Stone. Darkos steps into the ring with a stunningly good card. DragonMaster takes off the mask. Comrade Terror becomes Dreadnaught. And Magnus Colby reveals himself as the man behind the Assassins.
What were your thoughts on this set?

I hated the unmasking of Pit Viper. Pit Viper was a main eventer for me back in 89. He was a bad ass, even if the card wasn't overly lethal... DragonMaster was just .... Blah.

I agree... Pit Viper's unmasking should have been a bigger deal, it was really just kinda an afterthought.
I LOVED Darkos' story.. I actually wish he was just a bit better... that 5 pin makes it tough for him. I tried to push him as an I-C level guy, but he couldn't really do it.
Dreadnaught... awesome. Probably Tom's best character.
I always found Chaos a little bit generic, but he definitely changed the GWF, both statistically and story-wise.
I thought the Keepers were pretty decent.. they made good thugs for Chaos, which is exactly what they were supposed to be.

How could i forget. Ursa Major made his debut with this set too.
I don't know what it was with the Keepers. I never really took to them art wise and when I got to 2092 with my old fed, they sucked massively. I mean they were losing matches left and right when they debuted.
I was hit/miss with the Darkos story. I loved him stepping into the ring because his card was a surprise. I thought that 8 (5) pin was going to kill him and he really hung tough and performed at a decent level. My main issue with that story is that I feel "the trick" really killed the forward momentum of the Assassins for a couple of sets.
