Has Kane vs. Edge in a Last Man Standing Match for the World Title and Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio 2/3 Falls. SD's been shit lately but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see at least Del Rio/Rey.

I'm the opposite on Del Rio and Rey, cant stand Rey anymore and dislike Rio...
Kane vs. Edge has no drawing factor either, seems like Smackdown really has sucked and it's just not getting any better for the overall WWE...

I think this is a real attempt for WWE to try to draw fans to Smackdown. Smackdown is still clearly the number 2 show and WWE is defintely aware of this. I'm sure they are also aware of what their fans are saying and how crappy the smart fans think their product is. As far as Rey/Rio, these are two of the better workers in the business and compliment each other. Even with Rey getting older, he can still bring it much the same way Shawn Michaels did. As far as Kane/Edge, these are two of the few true main eventers on the roster and Smackdown can only make the best of what they are allowed to have. I think Edge will have to carry this match since Kane is fairly one demensional but so was Hogan. I'm not necessarily looking forward to either of these matches, although each has potentional. More so, I'm looking forward to seeing how Raw's kid brother does trying to come out of older brother's shadow.

First off, lets be honest; Smackdown on Friday Nights has run its course. If they continue to run on Fridays, they cant go by their ratings because I'm sure there are so many people that dvr it. Even wrestling geeks go out on Fridays.
The other thing that has been stated is that SD is viewed as the second show because WWE has clearly made it the second show. If they are going to keep this whole RAW/SD seprate thing; then they need to go all out and introduce a full year rivalry. And I think SD should initiate it to be taken seriously. I'm not talking an invasion thing cause we all know that they never end well when WWE does it. (See WCW buyout, nWo reunion, Nexus...although the Nexus thing is still going, we all know that they fumbled and are now trying to get it back) I'm talking about, maybe at the RR, all the SD guys band together to eliminate the RAW guys first. Or, Edge and some of the other promo guys start talking smack about RAW. I don't know.
But WWE painted itself into this corner with their own mindsets. It's not the smarks fault that they watched the paint dry.

In their own defense, the nWo return did give the WWF/E one of the biggest short-term babyface runs in company history (Hogan) which also helped establish Brock Lesnar. The group may have fumbled, but some good did come out of it.

After nWo Hogan took on the Rock was the end pretty much of me watching the WWE or any wrestling till TNA debuted on Spike 10/2005. The nWo reunion with the original 3 was cool but I missed the fall of the nWo in WWE...
