Just watched the 7-9 Seattle Seahawks takedown the defending Super Bowl Champs the New Orleans Saints. It was a good game, but the Saints found out even with the worst team in the playoff's anyone can win, good for the Seahawks who even gets no respect from the league...

I had a gut feeling that was Seattle was going to win. The media was carrying on so much because the Giants didn't get in that I thought the Hawks would win and make them all look foolish.

I just can't believe how watered down the league has gotten when a team that's below .500 can be division champion. Now you've got that team in the second round of the playoffs. This is why I only casually pay attention to the NFL now; it'd make my head spin if I really still cared.

It's just how the talent pool broke down though. There were two 10-6 teams on the outside of the playoffs on the NFC side. The NFL just divided the divisions a certain way a few years ago and one of those divisions is full of teams that are mismanaging themselves.
And it's only happened once in 40 something years. It was bound to happen sooner or later. As for the second round and getting there. Hey, that's football for you.

I really don't care about the NFL like I once did back in the 90's, but I love that a 7-9 team wins their Division and wins a Wild Card Game against last years Super Bowl winners just to shake-up the standards of the league and the Colts losing was nice too...
