Smackdown has dropped in average overall ratings for a year...
2006 = 2.46 2007 = 2.64 2008 = 2.33 2009 = 1.94 2010 = 1.81
SD is for sure the 2nd show, but wow thats not good dropping almost ever year and there are several reasons SD doesn't draw...

Pretty easy to figure out the ratings drop in 09/2010 to be fair. MyNetworkTV isn't available everywhere like the CW is/was. They jumped to MyNetwork in October 08 which didn't hurt the average rating at all until the next year.
Either way, it's still the second highest rated show (on average) out of the major American wrestling shows.

It still has to sting a little in the eye's of the WWE to see that it's not drawing like it was and the reason they are making some changes to SD...
Plus, I would say there isn't many networks that want wrestling so the WWE takes what it can and you can see why Vince wants his own network so maybe one day you'll have all WWE shows there, anything is possible...

I'm not so sure RAW would move exclusively to the WWE Network. I'm not sure the WWE Network would be carried by every provider, so USA would definitely be the best place for Vince to keep RAW. And to be fair, SD's ratings might suck HERE, but in other countries (ie Mexico), the show averages like an 8 or 9 rating, usually twice or three times as high as the AAA/CMLL ratings.

Also remember that moving to cable alone was going to negatively impact SD!'s rating. Switchfoot, you mentioned that MyTV is not available in every market, and this is true, but there is a very large potential audience base who does not have cable or satelite service -- more than you'd think considering the seeming ubiquitousness of pay tv service these days.
