Not REALLY Shin Nihon related, but sort of. It appears as though Giant Bernard is going to be the next challenger for Sugiura's GHC Heavyweight Championship. If there's any justice in the world, Bernard will win it.

Doubt it will happen but that would be the best thing to happen to the GHC Title in years.

Doubt it will happen but that would be the best thing to happen to the GHC Title in years. It'd also make Bernard the first gaijin to hold the title, and if they gave him a huge run with it, would go miles towards making him a convincing IWGP Title contender.

I wonder why they decided to go with the Tanahashi/Kojima rematch so soon. I'm not a Makabe fan but that would've been a better way to go than going the Kojima route a month later.
