New or old. It doesn't matter to me. I'll start with one of my favorite shows. The 2000 Dome Show. Not the best show workrate wise but I've always enjoyed the show a lot.
The card was:
Shinya Hashimoto & Takayuki Iizuka vs. Naoya Ogawa & Kazunari Murakami Keiji Muto vs. Masahiro Chono. Shiro Koshinaka vs. Satoshi Kojima, Chris Benoit vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Manabu Nakanishi vs. Kenzo Suzuki, Scott Norton vs. Don Frye, Kazayuki Fujita vs. Kimo, Randy Savage vs. Rick Steiner, Kazuo Yamazaki vs. Yuji Nagata-Yamazaki retirement match, Shinjiro Ohtani & Takaiwa vs. Minoru Tanaka & Kendo Kashin. Jushin Liger vs. Koji Kanemoto Kensuki Sasaki vs. Genichiro Tenryu-Sasaki wins IWGP title
Might I say, the Savage/Steiner match is awesomely bad and is must watch for anyone that wants to see an epic trainwreck of a match.
My main bitch with this show is the Liger/Kanemoto match. This was when they had the brilliant idea to have Liger squash all of the junior heavyweights and then challenge Sasaki for the IWGP Title. This ended with Liger losing the challenge in like 8 minutes and the division being ruined as a result.
I believe this show is also right before Mutoh reimagined himself as the bald headed Mutoh with the Shining Wizard finisher and had a brief revival as a worker.

That Liger/Kanemoto is an awesome match given the amount of time they had, and is one of my favorite squashes ever.

I remember the Benoit/Tenzan match being good. I have a weird blank spot for Liger/Kanemoto. I remember being excited for that match when I got the VHS to this show way back when and then being surprised that Liger squashed him like a bug.
I was also pretty surprised when Ultimo Dragon beat Liger in like 4 minutes at the J Crown Tournament. Now there was another awesome show. That Ohtani/Dragon semi-final was balls to the wall action and just packed full of awesome. I need to rewatch that show sometime.

Pretty much anything with Otani from that period (96-99) was awesome because he was viewed as the underdog against the guys like Ultimo, Liger, Samurai, etc. The Ultimo/Otani match you're talking about is friggin' sweet.
Liger/El Samurai from BOSJ 92 (the final) was pretty awesome.

You know, I've actually never seen that Liger/Samurai match. That's one of those weird ones I've never made the jump on. El Samurai has never been my favorite guy though. He always seemed to be just above average in a division where the top guys were world class.
Have you tried IVP Videos? That's where I get my stuff currently. $2.99 a disc can't be beat.

I think I was looking at the show with that Liger/Samurai match and bought the Jr. Tag League from 1994 instead.
Also, I feel the Flair/Mutoh match from the 95 G-1 Climax was a very underappreciated match. I love the hell out of it.

I actually have a fancam of the 4/30/92 show. Muto and Chono vs. Big, Bad, and Dangerous (Vader/Bigelow) was the semifinal match. It's a fun show but the last two matches are the only great matches on the show. Liger/Samurai is one of my favorite matches ever. I used to order from IVP, but there have been some horror stories about him taking weeks to send. I use SlamBamJam and Jeff Lynch. Prices might be a bit higher, but nobody has more than Lynch, and Fredo at SBJ is pretty quick with shipping. 95 was like, a second prime in a way for Muto, but he pretty quickly fumbled that in 96 and wasn't really great until 2000/2001 when he became the Shining Wizard. That Flair/Muto match is pretty good though.

I use SlamBamJam. I've been with them back when they were a completely different site. The only time IVP took weeks to get me stuff I was understanding about it. I did order over 100 DVDs from them at once and it was during one of their big sales.
I tend to think there are three great run of Mutoh matches. 1995 during his IWGP Title run, 2000-2001 when he reimagined himself and the late 80s into I want to say 1992. He's hard to gauge though. I blame it on him being lazy more than anything else.

I think it really started when he went to All Japan, and then ended when he and Kea faced Misawa and Ogawa at the Tokyo Dome. Otherwise, I agree.

Not totally NJPW related but just a case of thank god they threw Inoki the fuck out:
Inoki signed Kimbo Slice to wrestle for IGF.

Looks like the rest of this month sees a bunch of CMLL guys coming over. A lot of yawners minus Mistico vs. Averno. Tanahashi is also going to defend the IWGP Title against the winner of a Makabe/Kojima match in February. I'm not much of a Makabe fan honestly.

There's a lot of fun looking stuff on the cards but they're not stuff I'd exactly kill to see.

That tag title match looks like it's going to be brutal. I can't imagine Bernard/Anderson dragging anything good out of Atlantis. The six man on the 1/24 show does look fun though. Mutoh/Liger/Cima vs. Suwama/Sasuke/Yoshino should be fun as hell.
Speaking of Mutoh. I still trash his run as IWGP Champion from a few years ago but I like how the end of the match went down. He can't put Nakamura away with the Shining Wizard so he goes old school. Backbreaker... bam... moonsault... NEW Champ! Cool moment, even if I don't think they should've put the belt on Mutoh.
