Which of the WWF/E's Original 4 PPVs is your all-time favorite? While some PPVs are better then others, as a whole, which event historically is your favorite?

Gotta go with the Royal Rumble. Always loved the matches themselves, even if the rest of the PPV sucked.

While Wrestlemania is really the show that everyone pulls out the stops, I have always loved the Royal Rumble. The cards have been hot or miss, but I could watch Rumbles over and over again. I have always been a huge Battle Royal fan as well, and the Rumble is just an extension of that.

Let me put it this way.
I spent $200 for a giant Royal Rumble DVD box set about 4 years ago. I have not dropped that money on any other WWE set.

There was minimal editing to the theme songs (something that can't be said for the WrestleMania anthology) and the blurring of the scratch logo isn't even that bad. I remember watching all of the Rumble matches that weekend. So much fun.

Yeah, didn't that Wrestlemania set just have a disc carelessly tossed in there too?
I always liked the Rumble. Underrated moment. The 1990 Rumble where Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior face down, the crowd goes crazy and then they run over each other with clotheslines. Awesome!
I don't give a shit what anyone says. The Ultimate Warrior is really underrated for his persona. I still get goose bumps watching him squashing HTM like a bug at Summerslam 88. BTW, Summerslam would beat out Wrestlemania for my second favorite PPV.

Yeah, didn't that Wrestlemania set just have a disc carelessly tossed in there too? I think WM21 was just haphazardly thrown in. Don't know, only had Volumes 1-3. I remember seeing that for the first time the same day I rented WM VI because my cousin said I had to see that before I saw their match. That shit was awesome. And it's not like Warrior always had shitty matches. There's quite a few Coliseum Videos where he puts on pretty sweet matches. I actually just got the Ultimate Warrior figure in his attire from SummerSlam 88 tonight. Pretty neat figure.

You could carry the guy to a good match. Sure, he was uber shitty after WMVII but that happens to a lot of guys. The Warrior/Savage match is great too. The way he just spears the shit out of Savage and just steps on him for the cover.
My thing with Wrestlemania is that it's kind of an overrated iconic event. Most aren't great while I think Summerslam usually has a good show.

Was it the Rumble where Owen got pissed at Bret and kicked his injured leg out from under him? If it is, that's more proof that the Rumble has been the superior event.

As a kid, Survivor Series blew my mind. The concept was so new (to me) and I loved that heels worked together to go against the faces! I miss the days when EVERY match on the card was SURVIVAL rules. I haven't ordered a PPV in a LONG time, but if they said the next Survivor Series would be ALL Elimination matches, I'd get it.

So much good stuff at all of them, yet at the same time all of them aren't as good as they used to be. The Rumble went downhill when they dropped from two minute intervals. It got worse when the winner got a title shot at Mania as you knew only maybe four guys had any shot to win it. Survivor Series ruled back in the day. Now, well it doesn't.

You pretty much know who is going to win each year They messed up doing away with the tag elemination at Survivor Series. It made it an unique event. Now it's another PPV. The best one ever was the one in 90 when the eventual face and heel survivors went at it inthe main event.

Totally agree. You pretty much know who is going to win each year I'd say this is the case for the 2009 and 2010 Royal Rumbles. I had no idea (even down to the final two, and I'd hazard the guess nobody else did) in 2007. 2008 was kind of predictable with Cena's return, but then again Trips was in the Rumble that year. I get the notion, though, that there's a core group of guys that are most likely to win, and I agree that it hurts the match. The Survivor Series was awesome, too. Especially the 1989 Survivor Series. 1987 was pretty great, too.

I have the Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summer Slam, & Survivor Series sets. In all fairness, I did get the WM set used for under $100. The rest I bought new.
