Just reading some tidbits on the WWE, it looks like HHH will have more hands on with the behind the scenes for TV and his new role is being treated as a transition period and Stephanie McMahon is staying home more with the kids and HHH could be running the WWE once Vince retires full time and not Steph...
I'll say it will be interesting to see what the WWE will be like once Vince is long gone...
Edge is saying once his WWE contrat ends in 2112 he'll be leaving the WWE...

Edge has also said that he may only have another 2-3 years left in the business, do to the wear and tear on his body.

I'd guess Edge is pretty annoyed at the E right now... he's not a good Face, and he shouldn't be stuck in the mid-card. Well, unless he can't really wrestle anymore due to injuries.
I thought they were gonna do something with him and the GM, but they seem to have dropped that.

Edge is another example of a guy who is a casualty of the PG era where he has to adapt to being a tamer version of himself and the whole nickname Rated R Superstar is voided out in this PG era. Plus, he is another guy the WWE creative screwed up on making him a face, it's just puzzling how they've taken some excellent heels and made them soft in the last few years...

They had no choice with Edge. Undertaker is out, and Rey was busy establishing Del Rio, SmackDown needed a top babyface.

They could have gone with Big Show, they could have moved R-Truth or Morrison over and given them the ball for a while... They could have face turned Drew, or Cody, or Dolph... Edge hasn't really been the same since his most recent time off due to injury. Turning him face (even if it's a face who kidnaps and tortures an old man to get a title shot) only made it worse.

I agree they have options, it's a double edge sword with wrestling where we want new and fresh faces main eventing, but we want the Vets to matter. The WWE could've done some unique things with Edge being a heel but also facing another Heel and a new face in a three way feud... I really liked Edge snapping on RAW and then he was traded back to SD where you thought the old Edge would return, but seeing the face Edge just doesn't cut it...

They could have gone with Big Show, they could have moved R-Truth or Morrison over and given them the ball for a while... They could have face turned Drew, or Cody, or Dolph... Except Cody, Drew, and Dolph are all being groomed as future main event heels. Turning them face now would pretty much ruin them, especially Cody. Vince won't push Morrison, and R-Truth is not a main event guy. Big Show as a top face, even in Undertaker's absence is a dumb move, and besides, Edge had turned face long before he was moved back to SmackDown. Vince wants SD viewed as the #1 show, who would you rather have as the top face while Undertaker is gone? Big Show, or a guy who has been consistently one of the most popular guys on your roster for nearly a decade? Again, he was face before the feud with Kane. I agree he's lost a step but the guy tore his achilles tendon. Not exactly an easy injury to recover from. To respond to the original post, I think Triple H running the show might be better than Vince at this point. Vince seems burnt out at this point and after nearly 30 years of running the show, I don't blame him.

We'll have to agree to disagree on the Edge face / heel topic...
I think HHH could be good in running the behind the scenes operations, but when that time comes it'll be interesting to see what will change and what remains the same...

Big Show is perfect in the role he is playing as the huge face. He's not the top guy but he is always the "favorite" in a match and the kids and family crowd love him so he gets plenty of face heat. Plus he is also in the position of being able to either crush a heel if necessary, or put the heel over to hel build him up. Even though he hasn't been on SD! in at least a month or more, the Superstars crew still put over Tyler Reks for taking Big Show off his feet.
The problem with Edge as a face, for me anyway, is that he is a viscious, borderline psychopathic heel on Raw and then a face on SD. Huh? That never made sense to me. His last face promo on SD, where Christian came out and basically helped him turn heel before he went to Raw, was demonstrative of this. He's going to the show with Cena so he has to turn heel. When he comes back to SD he can be turned back.
I have no problem with Edge being a face, just let him be the antihero his character demands. Randy Orton gets to kick defenseless men in the side of the head and gets cheered like crazy. Don't make Edge a clown like with the Paul Bearer stuff. Make him cruel and calculating -- just like he is when he is a heel. But direct it at the right people. Instead of turning the kidnapping of Paul Bearer into slapstick, made it black comedy. If he fueds with Alberto Del Rio, have him beat the ever loving crap out of Chimaera and set fire to one of his cars. If he fueds with Ziggler, put Vickie in peril beyond making fat jokes.
This is why I think the program between he and Jericho worked well. Edge was a little silly during it but at the end he was playing mostly straight.

I hate him but this situation could've been solved years ago had they actually pushed MVP like they were supposed to. Face MVP could really be keeping Smackdown afloat right now.

Were there any known incidents with him? He seemed like a company guy for the most part. He seemed poised to take that next step when they drafted him to Raw... then he started teaming with Mark Henry and that seemed to really kill his forward momentum.
He seemed to be a victim of the WWE's "you weren't supposed to get THAT over" reaction.

He seemed to be a victim of the WWE's "you weren't supposed to get THAT over" reaction. I remember a report where he made fun of one of the guys who administers the wellness tests. Something along the lines of, "You went to college to stare at other guy's dicks?" was what I read he said. That's not really THAT BAD, but I guess they saw it as bad enough to fuck him over for good.

That seems like something they would get bent out of shape over. Though the wellness tests are still a joke to me because Batista never failed a test.
