Jakks figures are terrible. Overly muscular, few body types, scale is non existent. Their UFC figures are good, but the TNA figures are god awful. Say what you will about Jakks (and I had plenty of complaints with their WWE line), they still had more hits than misses with the Classic Superstars line. Mind you, when they missed they missed big. They made a lot of great figures in the CS line, but I agree that when they botched HARD, unfortunately they did so on a lot of guys that I liked. Namely Terry Gordy (sculpt looked nothing like him and he was too fat, he should have been the same size as Williams), Demolition (The torsos used on them were terrible and the painted on straps looked like garbage), Kona Crush (They have a Heavyweight Singlet torso and didn't use it, and the legs they used make him shorter than he should be), and practically every Bret Hart figure they made. Nobody's ever had a dead on head scan for that guy, I doubt they ever will. I loved the CS line (Legends figures made from the same parts as the regular line, that's a friggin' dream come TRUE. Especially to someone who owned the shitty legends figures from the mid-late 90s) but that love is quickly evaporating with every Mattel legends prototype I see. The only real miss so far from Mattel as far as I can tell is Rude not having Warrior on his tights.

Mom went to K-Mart earlier, brought back the Recalled Randy Couture/Chuck Liddell 2-pack. Awesome figures.

I think the problem with Rude not having the Warrior image on his tights had to do with legalities as opposed to just skipping it. Warrior wasn't signed to a deal with Mattel at the time the Rude figure was in productions as I recall, and probably would've wanted extra money from it anyway.
With Jakks I think a lot of the bad part decisions and skipping out on details was due to cost cutting measures requested by the bean counters and from designers who simply weren't that well aware of the subjects.
By the way, I did actually break down and pick up the Rick Rude Mattel figure today (my first figure purchase in well over a year). I've got all of the other Rude figures (including a MOC LJN Rude that is autographed), so I figured I may as well add one more and keep the collection complete.

This Saturday's purchase. The TRU Exclusive pack and the CM Punk/R-Truth 2-pack. May need to pick up the other 2-packs tomorrow after the oil change.

My only issue with him is that his legs are too close together, and unless I take him apart they are not easily modifiable. Heck I am tempted to get that Elite Big Show just for the better legs. Now I am on the lookout for Elite Zack Ryder! And hey Matty -- Bring on Tyler Reks!

Finished off the first series of WWE Rumblers with today's purchases. I also got the Over The Limit CM Punk, with the chest hair.

I wanted the Over the Limit Punk but he doesn't have the camo design on the trunks.

Someone needs to make a custom cloth mask for him to wear! Rumor has it masked Punk might get released. The waves coming out soon appear to be as of last summer when he has the mask so it's not entirely out of the question they make a legit masked Punk. Maybe even one with a removable mask in the Elite line!

Camo or not, it is still pretty cool to have a different looking Punk for the collection. The bald/masked Punk would be really cool as well.

Alright, wish list time! Who would you like to see?
I'd like a Legends JBL with his cowboy hat and cloth ring jacket and towel.

But with his ring jacket and towel would be a great look. Especially with the current articulation package so he could be waving. That HIAC pack would be great. Similarly, Taker and Kane from Wrestlemania XXIV would be a neat set.

I might preorder the Kerry Von Erich (both versions: Tornado and regular Kerry) and Kevin Von Erich soon. Just looked at them again, and those figures are got-damn amazing.
