Miguel Perez was a Puerto Rican champion and one-half of the legendary tag team with partner Antonino Rocca. Together they were NWA Capitol tag team champions and featured as the main event in 28 Madison Square Garden appearances. Between 1957 and 1960 the duo drew more sellout crowds than any other team in the fabled arena's history. During that time they faced the likes of The Fabulous Kangaroos, The Tolos Brothers, and The Golden Grahams, among others. The NWA Capitol tag team title was retired in 1960, making Rocca and Perez one of only two holders of that championship (the first was the team of Jackie Fargo and Don Stevens).
Rocca and Perez's only recorded loss as a tag team came in Puerto Rico in 1976 for the World Wrestling Council. Rocca had come out of retirement to re-form his team with Perez and the duo won the WWC North American tag team championship in September of that year, only to drop the belts the next month to Higo Hamaguchi and Gordon Nelson. Rocca passed away five months later in March of 1977.
Outisde of his team with Rocca, Perez was a perennial undercard performer in the New York area for most of his career in the states. He found much greater success in Purto Rico, where he held the WWC Puerto Rican championship on four occasions and was three time co-holder of the WWC North American tag team championship, once with Rocca and twice with Carlos Colon.
