You'll have to report I think $30 is actually pretty reasonable for 24 color cards... I was worried it would be more like $50.

$30 would seem about right, but might price themselves out of some sales for "non" players. But who knows. I would think $25 would be a solid selling price. Yeah I agree Jason. How much would a casual fan at the show pay to pick up the game. Would they drop $30 or $25 for something they may not know about? DVDs aren't cheap. So I think fans go in knowing stuff is going to be $20-25 right off the bat. So I don't think $30 is out of left field for fans at a Chikara show. And really, there's potential. Running demos or Chikara doing videos of wrestlers playing the game could be good advertising. A couple of Youtube videos of Ultramantis Black playing Fire Ant would probably net the game some buys too. There's some real potential for sales here if they get super creative with it.

I took saving a few bucks on art to mean the artist was paid less and therefore the set would be less. I think more than a few people would come up with the same conclusion I did. I took the "save a few bucks" thing after the art being less comment as saving money on the company's end as far as the art goes, not the price of the set for people buying it. *looks back at my original response, notices I never mentioned anything about your intelligence, realizes you're completely not worth the time to explain that I never said anything and you'll just bleed all over the place like when I was happy to see 1-2-3 Kid in Chikara, so I then walk away* DVDs aren't cheap. The idea of seeing the guys actually playing the game and/or shilling it in YouTube videos is actually really cool and it's something I'd like to see. Saw that TM posted this on the OBoard: Glad it's going to be around that price, not sure I'd pay too much more than that.

I would not pay over $30. My main hope is that we get an annual update.

An annual update would be awesome provided enough new guys debuted/enough guys changed to warrant them. I'd have no problem buying annual updates.

I just don't want this to be a one time deal. I want old stars like Lince, and those others that didn't make the cut.

Maybe we'll get BDK versions of Claudio and Delirious in this set too? For that matter, has it been said which version of Donst is in the set? I'm assuming the BDK one is in the set itself, but will the old version be an SE or included as well?

SE will have to be bought, I'm sure. Not by me!!! I'm pretty sure it was announced that the Donst SE and the pointless Dark Menace SE will be free to those buying the set at the event.

Chikara dvds are $15 so that's not much. I don't want an annual update set. If that happens it's a sure thing LOTF is done.

I'm sure that's going to depend on how the set does. An Annual update, or perhaps, after every season, would make sense, IF they sell.
The fact that they're doing color and every other legends card is B & W could indicate either a special (and therefore one-time) release, or it could mean they're gonna do everything color now.
It could indeed mean no more LOTF, which would be sad, but, OTOH, most of the good indy guys run through Chikara at some point, so it wouldn't be too bad.
Besides, if Knapik is gone (which the fact that Rob is doing stats seems to indicate) there may be no more LOTF anyway.
What I'd still like to know is if there will be anything 'Chikara-y' with the box set... special charts, maybe trios rules/chart/match, etc. I hope hope so, as I think that would add alot to the product for minimal cost.
For me, $30 is pretty close to the max I'll pay, unless there's something really unique and exciting about them.

The Remsburg card added some rules for Chikara feds and I'd bet that card is in the set.
