How do you guys normally time your matches? Wanted to have a 10 minute time limit on my TV belt, but not sure what the best system is for timing matches. Thanks in advance.

I've never seen a system I really liked personally.

I've never done anything with trying to "officially" time a match. Seems like more book keeping than I want to deal with.

I go by the 12 second per move formula. And for each pin attempt roll both dice and add those as seconds onto the match time.

Most of the methods I've seen are very record-keeping intensive.
Last time I was using the real timeX2 method.. which is nice and easy... it just only works if you're not doing something else (like watching TV) while you're playing.
Some do that with an actual stop watch, but I did it in a more general way... just the minutes on the regular clock.
The I do the seconds with dice... 1 for the tens place (with the 6 being a =) and a d10 for the ones place.

I have 2 different methods:
Each roll of the dice is 10 seconds. Works great if you use a dice sim like I do.
If not; the stopwatch idea is great as long as those little things like tv or kids don't get in the way. I multiply real time by 4. So if I roll out a match in 42 seconds real time; it translates to 2:42 match time.

The dice roll X 10 thing is really good if you use desktop.. I had totally forgotten about that!

Thanks for all the advice.............think I am going to try the dice roll X 10 method. I don't want things to get too bogged down in bookwork. Really only going to use the time limit for the TV Title and that is it. With the TV belt being defended every week, figure it would give the champ another "out" so it wouldn't change hands 3 times a month.
