It is a shame that Carlos Condit had to drop out of his match with Chris Lytle, because those guys come straight ahead and leave it all in the cage. The Pearson vs. Fisher fight should be a good one as well, b/c Fisher may get lumped up in his fights, he is dangerous.
Penn vs. Fitch should be solid, but I have had it with Bisping. The problem is that I am not sold on the fact that Rivera is the one who is going to beat him. Some good fights, but a severe lack of top star power.

The Fisher vs Pearson fight was pretty good.

I really dislike BJ Penn at Welterweight. I imagine he doesn't want to cut the weight to make 155 but he's so much better at lightweight.

I really dislike BJ Penn at Welterweight. I imagine he doesn't want to cut the weight to make 155 but he's so much better at lightweight. He's lost twice to the current lightweight champ so his chances of getting a title fight are slim. Of course the same can be said of his chances at welterweight. BJ was all ready to retire because he was sure that he had lost to Fitch last night.

I think Fitch won the fight, a draw was unnecessary. That's also the second draw in two months in the UFC, that's some sort of record, right?

Draws are super rare in UFC. This was a majority draw, which I haven't seen in a long time. Didn't see the fight, but Penn felt he lost the match. If GSP goes up a weight class, then Fitch vs. Penn for the Welterweight Title in a 5 Round match should be a good match.

I don't think Penn could get there if he had to earn his way to a title shot. I mean could you imagine him in there with Thiago Alves. Ouch, I don't think that would be pretty. I don't know. Penn is in a tough spot. It'll take forever to get a lightweight title shot and I don't think he would ever really be a player at welterweight.

Alves is a friggin' monster by Welterweight standards, and I doubt BJ could do much against him. I think it's time for BJ to retire. He's one of the greatest fighters ever (IMO), there's nothing left for him.

I doubt he could make the cut but there is a featherweight division. KenFlo is making the cut down.
Really, Penn got screwed by the unification of UFC/WEC. A move to WEC would've been a great move to expand his career.

Penn can barely make the cut to lightweight. He's not going further down.

That's what I thought. I kind of thought this recent move to welterweight was more about laziness than not being able to beat Edgar.
The real problem with Penn is he writes the checks at his gym. No one pushes him to any big degree and he's completely become stagnant as a fighter. It was talked about after the second Edgar loss and it seems to be a growing problem. I think he could actually beat Edgar if he went to a gym where he wasn't the boss and actually had to work his ass off in a training camp.

Penn going to the WEC is like HHH wrestling for Jersey All Pro Wrestling. Penn strikes me as the kinda guy that if cannot fight the best, he will not fight.
