I wish they'd announce a price point for this so I know how much I'm dropping on these. They will hold this back as long as they can

I wouldn't expect to see the price until the pre-order goes up.

The girl is the band geek's manager. That can't be Del Rey, if it is, horrible art. I saw that band guy at the Williamsport show, forget his name, I read online later he is somebody that has been in ROH. I think I put show results in my chikara thread so his name might be there. I"m not so sure Haze or Del Rey will even be in the set but they might be. I remember a promo saying something like the band is coming

Yeah, especially since they're not even on the Chikara Roster page.
That said, I would assume that since the set is official, Chikara is at least helping to choose the guys in the set... perhaps they're up for a push.
24 is pretty small rosterwise if they're going deep into the roster, actually... especially if they re-make alot of the guys that already have cards. I don't follow it too much, but UMB, Hero, CC, and Delirious all seem like they would sorta 'need' cards if you'd gonna give Kingston, Quack and Jigsaw new ones. (which we've already seen art for.
That's half the set.
As far as price point, that's gonna depend on how it's packaged.. they'll probably be a set with charts and such, and without... maybe some sorta special match, or trios something. Maybe a box.
I'd be shocked if it was less than $30... I'd guess $50... the Color GWF cards seemed to run about $2 a pop.
I suppose Chikara could be subsiding to try to get more out there, but considering they've not really mentioned it at all on their site or anything, I'd doubt that.

just noticed... they posted all the art so far... great art... I love the backgrounds especially. Apparently 'Veronica' is just in the pic.. no card.. so that's another spot That's a good thing. The do have a 'SE' card (FG doesn't do those any more, I thought ... so maybe a couple of the guys that are already in LoTF, like CC or Delirious.

I'm still not getting it if the guys' stats are balanced against the rest of COTG-verse instead of self-contained within Chikara.

I doubt we will get an answer to the question are the stats equal to LOTF like they've been, or better stats for a Chikara only fed.

We may, actually.... just not for a while. The stats probably aren't done yet.
While I think I'd like it self-contained (especially since they're color), that would make it so you couldn't use other LOTF guys that may or may not be in this set (The Colony, CC, Hero, Osirian Portal, etc), which would be annoying.
Whether I buy it on not will depend on the price, and what you get besides the cards, and how many new guys there are.
If there's some interesting new stuff, I'll get it. If it's just LOTF: Chikara with half the guys color versions of wrestlers we already have, I'll probably pass.

I would be less compelled to buy a stand alone Chikara set then one that was compatible with LOW/LOTF cards. Even though the art is cool, the price I am sure will be at a point where I am thinking about it, and isn't an automatic purchase. I know I would never do a Chikara only fed, so if you couldn't blend in LOTF cards or even mid-card or lower LOW cards, I think I would pass.

See, I sorta wish ALL the LOTF guys were on a different scale... they'd be alot easier to use that way.
I think it'll depend on how involved Chikara is in the whole process. If they(Chikara) are going to market the set, sell it on their site and at their shows, etc. it's going to likely be more stand alone-ish.
If it's just a one-shot cross-promotion where FG is ALLOWED to make the sell and sell it at that one show, then it'll likely be simply LOTF: Chikara. Considering there's no mention of it on the Chikara site at all, I'm thinking right now it's the latter... but it is still pretty far away... maybe after King of Trios we'll see some Chikara originated hype/info.

See, I sorta wish ALL the LOTF guys were on a different scale... they'd be alot easier to use that way. How so? They work just fine as a promotion unto themselves. I've run an LOTF fed for almost 3 years now and I've never seen a big issue with how they are rated. Sure, the belt can change hands a lot but then a lot of indy promotions have belts that change hands a lot. I prefer how open ended the LOTF can be.

I have had no problems with LOTF as a stand alone or mixed with LOW. I run two indy regions (with some bootleg help) and have outstanding matches and generally a very consistent title scene. The guys also mix well wtih LOW, making a little noise, but not on Harley Race level. My all time favorite LOW v LOTF moment came in a 5 star match between Quack and Tiger Mask. Tiger Mask won, but it was exciting every step of the way.

My fed has typically had title reigns in the 1-2 month range. That's my goal though. I wanted a promotion that had the title change hands a lot and that's the goal. Now with that said, Delirious had a 5 month reign, Brent Albright had a 5 month reign and Claudio Castagnoli had a 6 month reign. Also Harker Dirge has held the belt 3x over a 3 year period and that's the most someone has held the big belt.
Now, the tag titles are different. Year long reigns seem to be the norm there.

I saw they were calling it LOTF: Chikara on the O board so my guess it will be in line with the current LOTF cards. Which is a good thing in my book.
