How important is it to you? Is it a must for your fed(s)? Is it for other people or yourself? I don't think I've ever played and not posted "muh rezultz~!" So, explain/discuss.

I like having a writeup of shows as a history of my game. I also do it to show other people what I'm doing with my fed. I could always do more with the recaps but I don't want to get bogged down with that and take time away from playing matches.

I definitely take notes for myself, so I know what I'm up to. Full write-ups are definitely to share for me, though they do help flesh out ideas and angles in alot of cases.

My write took too long; they were for the reader's benefit. I used to keep few if any records.

I write-up for both myself and other, I have my results written down and several key notes to my feds history, but I put more detail in my results on the board post...

I enjoy reading other's fed write-ups, but have never really written up shows myself. I enjoy rolling too much and just keep the stories and results in my memory for the future. I do keep a list of past champions for each region, but that is about as far as I ever expect to go.

You know, I'm having the most fun right now playing 2088 online and I don't do write-ups for that. It's like revisiting old friends or something. I am playing with concepts that my then pre-teen mind (as I've been playing in "real time" since I was in grade school and the first set came out) did not think of when the sets were new. Plus, there's no pressure to "play to the audience" so I'm just doing whatever I like with no regard to "what will the people reading online think"? With everything else, I write for myself AND hopefully for the enjoyment of the people reading online. Of course, I think I went a little overboard as I was finishing up "Wrestling Superstars:LJN" over on the official board and had a conversation between Jim Brunzell and Don Muraco on philosophy and the nature of reality where Muraco quoted Heraclitus (pre-Socratic Greek philosopher), but dammit no one else has ever done anything like that before and it amused me. So, I suppose in the end I always write for me no matter what the original intention!

I really liked that stuff, btw, Mark.. very unique.... I agree if the write up doesn't make you happy, you shouldn't do it.
