I would really like to see more then two sets this year from the LEGENDS series, infact I would like to see FOUR to SIX not counting the FUTURE LEGENDS set. Maybe we could see ONE SHOTS released once a month, we know that Tom has guys signed and not being used and should be...

I have gotten the impression that there are not a whole lot of guys signed and not used right now. Most of the guys that were sitting for a long period of time have been released.
The only ones I can think of off the top of my head would be: Johnny Rodz Backseat Boyz (I assume they will be in Future) SoCal Val (I also think she will be in Future)
I might be forgetting 1 or 2 but he hasn't announced any in quite some time.
One thing that I think would be really cool would be if Future would be 24 cards or something just because I have a feeling it would be easier to sign indy guys than big time legends. I would even love to get a good number of little known indy guys along with the guys that are huge stars right now.

I'm hoping the upcoming Legends of the Future set has more than 12 cards in it too, especially since the ICP magazine that always included a new official Indy LOW card is being discontinued.
In addition to the wrestlers listed by pikemojo, I remember that referee Dick Woehrle is signed and I think it was said that the Love Brothers are signed too.

One set a year and a few special edition cards is enough for me. I think someone mentioned Penny Banner being signed not sure

I like that the Indy wrestlers will be spotlighted and that will add to the game, but I hope that Tom will search out for more Legends that he might have not signed in the past will again, all we can do is hope...

I'll be honest Dennis, and pike and executioner and few others can vouch for this. We've given Tom many, many contacts (and there were some good ones), but it felt as if it was met with "thanks" and nothing was followed up on.
Granted, people have busy lives, etc. but some of the names I've heard could have made a pretty decent set. Kinda frustrating.

JJ Dillon, I believe as well and Trav is right... I think that is all I will say on that Yeah, JJ Dillon is signed too. I was hoping Dillon's LOW card would get released before I go to the CAC Convention (Dillon's the Master of Ceremonies for that convention) here in Las Vegas in June so I could get it signed. But since the next regular (non-Indy) LOW edition isn't getting released until next Summer according to The Promoter, it doesn't look like that will happen.

Next Summer you mean this year or 2009? 2008. So we've got 2 LOW sets (Legends of the Future and the next regular LOW set) as upcoming releases.

Trav is dead on and based on this, I am not putting forth any effort to find more. I have other projects and things I would rather spend my time on and not feel my efforts are in vain.
That said, I am hopeful 2008 turns out to be a big year for LOW.

I don't mind 1 set a year, although I prefer 2. The only discussion I've ever had with Tom was about a year-and-a-half ago when I order a bunch of COTG cards for enhancement talent for LOW. Tom sounded kind of surprised that I would want to do that but accommodated me anyway.
Just from that brief conversation I came away with the impression that Tom's first love is COTG. I understand that. But there's no reason he can't step away and let the Legends team or a team-member sign up new wrestlers.
I have no problem with Tom focusing efforts on COTGOnline or COTG in general. But any savvy businessman would recognize that he could delegate the signing and creation of these LOW cards to people who (most likely) would work for next to nothing.
All he'd need to do is route potential signings to the 1 or 2 people responsible for getting the releases signed and then let Cory's team develop the cards. At most, he'd work in an Art Director capacity and give the cards a once over before sending them off to the printer.
Heck, even that he could farm out to the LOW community.
Tom would then only have to deal with the printer -- which can be trying at times I admit. But I'm sure Tom has some sort of relationship with a print-shop somewhere. I'd be surprised if he didn't have some sort of deal worked out with a local business on that front.
So then we're on to doing mailings. I think Tom handles all that himself now -- which could also be a time drain. But I've been associated with a number of print businesses who would happily handle the mailouts as well.
I guess the point is that Tom could move himself more and more into a supervisory and advisory capacity with LOW without impacting the releases (or his other interests).
This kind of arrangement may already be in the works.

But I've been associated with a number of print businesses who would happily handle the mailouts as well. Actually, Todd (Tournament Master) does that (the mailing). And I hope my post wasn't "bashing" anyone. I just see the greatest potential (and from what Todd has said, Legends is the best seller), so I don't know why it isn't given as much attention. It just kinda baffles me. ...and if it's frustration, it's because I want it (Legends) to succeed. I love to see older guys remembered because now the WWE is the only game in town and they are only going to let you remember who they want you to remember. Those other guys....

Yeah, I wasn't bashing either. I'm just a big proponent of delegating, especially with something like LOW. There are enough people who have a real passion for the game that I don't see any reason why signings would be held up.
I mean, heck, Buddy Rose was released in a Legends set. So, the bar is pretty low...
;D
(just kidding about Buddy, btw)
