Hey guys, long time no see.
I got on the Filsinger boards to ask a question about COTG desktop, came back a few hours later to see my thread had been deleted with a stern warning never to mention COTG desktop again on the boards. Sooo... I figure I'd find out where the unofficial board was and hang here instead.
After Randy Savage died (my all time favorite), I started exploring the idea of starting a Legends fed called 'Wrestling Afterlife' featuring only those Legends who have since stepped into immortality. While the official Legends sets look nice and collectible, they don't have nearly all the wrestlers I want. So I am getting cards posted on the boards here and plugging them in to COTG Desktop.
Was curious, how do you handle manager cards in COTG Desktop? Unless there's some feature I'm not seeing, I can't see any place to put Distractor Rating other than in the Notes field.
Also, I assume different card producers have different systems for creating them. When you guys run your LWA feds, do you run into a problem with this? For example, a really strong Koko B. Ware vs. a weak Big John Studd.
Thanks.

I knew your thread would be deleted and you'd be warned as you said. It didn't take long for that to happen either. Most every card is already in desktop if you can get someone to send you the files.
Manager only cards I wouldn't worry about having in the desktop. Just sit the card next to you or remember there is someone at ringside and roll the distractor yourself when you want.
Some sets have been made specifically for that territory and they can be too strong when compared with other bootlegs and official cards.

Make the manager card into a chart if he has a roll on the back. That's what I do and that's how Online handles it. It works nicely.
Don't worry, everyone runs into that Desktop thing. It's stupid but that's what happens when one person runs a board and has their own idea about what should be allowed. Forget the fact that he posts so many bootlegs that someone would never actually need to buy anything.

I had no idea Desktop was taboo discussion, but I guess it makes sense due to COTG Online.
I actually forgot I was already registered there and re-registered as 'tafkaga' but have been waiting a week and my account was never approved. I guess I have been pre-banned, which is unfortunate.

It probably had something to with registering twice with the same IP address

Wow, long time no see! There's a BIG desktop file in the yahoo group (also called Legendary Promoters) that Werner put together back in the first LWA incartnation... it's probably got 600 guys in it anyway... that should be a pretty good start for ya I it was created in '08, so it's got all the boots that were around then.

Hey, thanks Wildfire. You got the link to that Yahoo group? I tried a few searches but didn't come up with it.
