I never can figure out what is going on with Chris Hero. He seems like he is always rumored to go everywhere, but doesn't seem to ever show up anywhere

Snowflake thoughts for 2011 Battle of Los Angeles and Steen Wolf.
BOLA first: Hero/Willie Mack: *** Steen/Finlay: ***1/4 Generico/Castagnoli: ***1/2 Edwards/Strong: ***1/2 Dynasty/RockNES Monsters: ***1/2 Generico/Mack: *** Steen/Edwards: ***3/4 KOW/Young Bucks: **3/4 Steen/Generico: ****1/4
Hell of a fun one night tournament. Not sure how long the main event went, but it was a really good match that was hate filled and didn't make use of big death moves until the finish which was insane.
Steen Wolf: Avalon, Bravo & Rosas/Famous B, Kadillak, & Candice LeRae: *** TJP/Romero: **3/4 Fightin' Taylor Boys/RockNES Monsters: ***1/4 Willie Mack/Davey Richards: ***1/2 Dynasty/Los Luchas: *** Ricochet/Chuck Taylor: ****1/4 Young Bucks/Future Shock: ****1/2 Kevin Steen/El Generico (Ladder): ****3/4
This show wasn't just one of the best PWG shows of the year, it was one of the best shows of the year and arguably the best show PWG have ever put out. The card is stacked as all hell, for one. Every match at least kinda sorta delivers and the main event is one of the best matches of the entire year.
I'll put up thoughts on Perils of Rock 'n Roll Decadence when I get around to watching the full show but I will say that Edwards/TJP ranks about **** for me. Davey Richards should just do commentary, he was actually pretty funny during that match.

I loved Punk-Dragon and Joe-Danielson Yeah, both volumes of PWG Sells Out are incredible. Since the 2nd volume ends with the steel cage match between Human Tornado and Chris Hero to end their classic feud at the 5th anniversary show in 2008, they really need Volume 3 to get released . But in a 90 minute online interview I heard with Excalibur last month, he said unfortunately there are not any current plans to do Volume 3.

Yeah, Joe/Danielson is a great match and they actually topped that one in ROH about six months later. The Punk/Dragon match is good, too.
The Steen/Dragon Guerrilla Warfare match on Disc 2 is actually pretty great, maybe one of the better indie matches I've ever seen because of the way the match was paced. It was like 32 minutes or something like that, and there was never a point where it dragged, even when they were setting up all the weapon spots. They built to everything, like instead of just going all out with death moves, they slowly escalated the violence which is something lost on a lot of guys in a lot of promotions today.
Oh, and PAC/Generico on Disc 2 is one of the craziest matches I've ever seen.

Got World's Finest and KRR3 today. So far I've watched the main events of both shows but also a bunch of KRR3. The World's Finest ME (Steen/Edwards/Generico) was good, really good at that. KRR3's main event was neat for the spectacle of those six guys (Generico/Yoshino/PAC vs. Super Dragon/Steen/Tozawa) in the same match, but wasn't particularly good outside of Steen being Steen.
Also watched Roderick Strong's matches with Willie Mack and Masaaki Mochizuki from World's Finest and KRR3, respectively. Both were really good matches with the Mochizuki match being the better of the two.
I'll say this as well: I like the pairing of Harry Smith and Davey Richards. They have the big man/little man dynamic that the British Bulldogs had, and while neither are as good as Davey Boy and Dynamite, they're a team I could see having some very fun matches if they ever decide to be a regular tag team. That said, the match against the Young Bucks was underwhelming if nothing else.

BOLA Night 1 Ratings in Progress: TJ Perkins vs. Joey Ryan: ** Roderick Strong vs. Drake Younger: **** Eddie Edwards vs. Kyle O'Reilly: ***3/4 B-Boy vs. Brian Cage: **1/2 Kevin Steen vs. Ricochet: *** Sami Callihan vs. Willie Mack: ***1/4 Adam Cole vs. El Generico: ***3/4 Davey Richards vs. Michael Elgin: ****1/4
Buy this show. Don't buy it on Highspots, give PWG your money. Their shipping is better, generally faster and obviously buying from PWG directly means they actually get all of the money from the purchase. Fucking unbelievable show.

BOLA Night 2 Ratings In Progress: Sami Callihan vs. TJ Perkins: *** Eddie Edwards vs. Adam Cole: ***1/4 [1] Brian Cage vs. Michael Elgin: **** Ricochet vs. Roderick Strong: ***1/2 Team Statutory vs. Willie Mack, B-Boy and Drake Younger: ***1/2 [2] Sami Callihan vs. Adam Cole: ***1/2 Michael Elgin vs. Ricochet: ***1/2 The Young Bucks and Brian Cage vs. El Generico, Rick Knox and Kevin Steen: Adam Cole vs. Michael Elgin: ****1/2
[1] This wasn't better than the ROH TV Title match as far as actual wrestling goes, but as an overall match, this was far more entertaining. [2] Seriously, watch this match. Find a way to get BOLA 2012 Night 2 and WATCH THIS MATCH. It is the damnedest thing I think I have ever seen and that's saying a lot.
Buy these shows. Seriously, that's all I can say. These two shows were absolutely incredible.

I'd think about getting it if they 1. Had a two pack discount ($30 eats into my XCom fund) and 2. Removed the vise from the one announcers nuts that makes him screech and laugh like a little girl every time a big move is hit.
Is there anywhere you can rent this type of stuff on a steam for a lower price. I'm never going to watch it more than once so I can't see plunking down $30.

You can turn the commentary off if you get the DVD.
